Yeah no kidding! Both of us were pretty choked up at parts too! But Shep's alright and Sam will find a way because it would be pretty damn bad if Dell had to leave over a bit of our story ending that way

Yes, poor girl overheard our whole conversation...even Carson couldn't calm her down...he was pretty upset himself actually. I ended up sitting on the floor with them for a while, telling Beck that she never has to go back to her old reality, that I wouldn't-wouldn't let anyone or anything tear us apart. *last night suddenly comes rushing back to me and I let out a shuddering sigh* She cried herself to sleep...Carson took her to our quarters...but I feel terrible she overheard us in the first place. I think it might have hit her harder than it hit you and I, if that's even possible.

I'm ashamed to say I forgot she would be sent back too, I would never have given it a seconds thought of going back if I'd been thinking of poor Beck.

*Shep moans and gags a bit on the tube in his throat and Carson goes to remove it*

*he checks over the monitors, and gives me a smile and steps away*

*he smiles a bit at me and reaches his hand up to my eye. I see the question in his eyes*
