Don't apologise I've made a card (see below ) and Oma-1 (who doesn't post here I know) is collecting messages - so if you want to send a get well soon message of any description (either the standard or something more creative, up to you!), PM it to Oma-1 and she will send them all to Jumble's daughter Suz. Suz will then print the card and the messages and take them in to Jumble in the hospital tomorrow. Or at least, that's the plan!

Edit: or Suz will take them whenever if you post them here!

Thanks for the update Suz and glad to hear it sounds like she's doing OK Asking for Martinpics and PSing sounds like the Jumble we know and love How long is she likely to be in the hospital?

Nad I think that sounds sensible, we can have a mini Martinmas and then save the big one for when Jumble's back with us It wouldn't be the same without her in any case!

I thought about suggesting a mini-Martinmas, but I thought if Jumble saw we'd done that she might get distressed that we made so much of an effort for her!!

Still, I think that's a really good idea to tone it down and then have a massive party when Jumble's back!!

Great card! Those avatar/sprites are cool! Some of them are the WooHoos I presume. There's even one that looks like me but I know it's not me, guess there's a Woohoo that looks like me. And thanks for the link.

Mum wanted me to let you know that she had an accident Tuesday night, and won't be around for a while. She'll be ok, but has to stay in hospital for a few days.

She's really upset about something I think is called Martin's Mass, and she said to say she's sorry for missing it. I hope that makes sense?

Just want to say thanks for all the good wishes, I'll pass your messages on when I see her tonight.

She went up to the local shop and a car mounted the pavement and squished her against a wall. She got broken ribs, cuts and bruises and some internal bleeding and was unconscious for quite a while, but the docs say she'll be good as new in a few of weeks.

Its so nice that you all care about her so much, thanks!

Jeez, I think Mum needs a full time secretary with all these messages! I knew she spent a lot of time on these forums, but I never realised how many friends she'd made!

Docs are happy with her progress, but she's driving the nurses mad because she wants to come home! She made me take in some of her 'Martinpics' off the kitchen wall (which I understand is quite famous?) and she's nagging me to take in her laptop so she can 'PS'. You people seem to have your own language, I have to ask for an explantation almost every time she opens her mouth! But I told her if I take in her laptop, I can't pick up her messages, and she can't get online in the hospital.

Seriously though, she is doing really well, she's always been a gutsy lady, but I'm in awe of her strength. I think I'd be sitting in the corner whimpering, and there she is determined to get home for the week-end. Such is the power of 'The Martin' ? I think I need to take a closer look at this guy

Me and Jo are working out a schedule so we can take care of her (or rather, keep her under control ) over the next couple of weeks.

Just because I like the pretty pink in my post, I'm repeating what Josi just said, lol!!

Attention Family!!!!

As I'm sure most of you have now heard, Jumble was injured in an accident the other day. A car hopped the curb and squished her. She's got a few broken ribs and other injuries, but the doctors said she will be alright, though she won't be online again for awhile until she's a bit healed up.

Over on the Art thread Oma-1 had a great idea. We could all write Jumble a little note and then Oma can gather them all together. We'd coordinate with her daughter (who is the one that got online at Jumble's request to tell us what had happened) to get the messages to Jumble.

[LEFT]If you write something, or even make some artwork I'd guess, just PM it to Oma-1. At least, I'm assuming we're PMing it to Oma-1, lol. She had to go out and didn't tell us what to do with our messages, lol.[/LEft/

I'm just quoting all of this so there's an easy post to reference back to if anyone else asks about Jumble on other threads. I figured Suz's posts and then the big post about what we wanted to do for Jumble would be enough...

I agree that Martinmas is jumble's baby. She's the one who suggested it in the first place.
Now, we didn't expect a holiday like Shipmas (in volume ) anyway. That's why we picked the times so... so.
With jumble being stuck in a hospital bed at least half of our posts is gone. And that wasn't even a joke about her being awefully active here ) But.
Maybe we could make it a ''light version'' of Martinmas (makes you feel satisfied, but not fat) and force jumble to post her contributions later around WooHood!! New Year! ?
That way she has something to look at when she gets back.

YAY thank you for the update. I'm glad she already asked for the Martin pics - that's a very good sign. She needs some extra Martin-treatment

I WANT TO KICK MY COMPUTER!!!! I just made the screencaps of Martin on the AoT DVD and Photoshop closed before I could safe them all now I only have half of the caps left - which i can't post here because they are on the other PC which is occupied by my brother.. GAH!!!

Yeah some of them are the WooHoos, and some are the GimPS and some the Shippy Hippies and some just the Ship Family I gathered up as many as I could find, although I'm sure I probably missed some that were made - Jumble's got the comprehensive collection Hopefully it looks like a representative sample of her friends on GW at least

Hi, Suz just popping in before running to catch the train home.

Couldn't somebody have warned me? I mean, I didn't know who Joe is. I thought you meant another of her friends on here. I handed her the sheets of messages I'd printed off and said 'Oh, and Joe dedicated his blog to you today'. I wasn't prepared for the reaction! It went something like this -

"OMG! OMG! O.M.G.! " at which point I started to panic and called a nurse!

Mum: "No no, I'm fine! But OMG!"
Me: "What? What is it???"
Mum: "Joe is the Joe! Joe Mallozzi! One of the Stargate powers that be! For crying out loud! How did he know?"
Me: "Well I'm guessing one of the Gimpsers or Woohoos told him. You mean, really one of the Stargate people? Really?"
Mum: "Yes, really, but..................OMG! What did they tell him? If they told him about my, um, affection for Martin..........OMG! He might tell him!"
Nurse: "Julie, you need to calm down!"
Mum: "Yes, ok, I'm fine, really I'm fine. I just, OMG!"

Once she'd really calmed down, she looked at all the messages. She was amazed at how many there were, and all the trouble that you all went to for her. And then she saw the picture from Dee (snap out of it?) and giggled so much I thought her stitches would burst!

I left her looking a bit tearful (in a happy way) and definitely a lot perkier than when I arrived, so THANK YOU ALL for doing that for her.

The doctor said if she behaves like a model patient she might be allowed home on Sunday, so fingers crossed!

I won't be able to get on here for a couple of days, but hopefully Jo will be able to give you updates.
