I always love getting a DVD box set of a show I enjoy but haven't seen before.
I remember all the days when I scarf down watching as much Stargate Atlantis or SG-1 as i wanted because I had so many episodes to watch.
Recently I bought the second and then third season of Babylon 5. (I haven't seen further than that). People talked about the show so much I wanted to see what it was like a few months back.
One thing that occurred to me recently was, were Talia Winters and Susan Ivannova supposed to be kind of like the "reverse John and Elizabeth" or something?
By the end, clearly they were close but their scenes together are really quite insufficient to make me think that they were ever actually in a romantic relationship but I've heard from somewhere that they were intended to be in one. And if So, they'd have the opposite "author intent vs onscreen dynamic as Sheppard and Weir. For different reasons obviously, but that did seem like an odd parallel to me.
I've never been one to seriously go along with the whole "John and Elizabeth are actually secretly having sex in the closests this whole time" thing, but I figure that if one can buy Talia and Susan were having sex then one can pretty much just as easily suppose Sheppard and Weir were too.
