This...talk...reminds me of a meeting earlier where we were talking about one of our customers named "dick's" and in the convo someone all of a sudden made the comment "I'm curious what keeps Dick up at night..." She said it totally innocently though and only realized it till after she said it

OMG Y'all!

Today is Andi's bday, so I go to Sephora to pick her up a nice gift. "I'm sorry ma'am, your card was declined?" WTF? Really? I just transferred a buttload of cash into that account. So, I put it on my amex and head across the street to the bank. Every few months, I transfer a good sized sum from my brokerage account into my checking to cover my exorbitant student loan payments-- well the brokerage accidentally transferred the cash from my checking into my brokerage. Considerably more than I had in my checking to begin with. So until they reverse the transfer first thing in the morning, I have the cash in my wallet and my amex. Blargh. *kicks Fidelity* I'm hoping it will be there by the end of the day, but I'm not all that hopeful. The bank did say they wouldn't charge me any fees though. But I'm prepared to do battle if they try...

I need a vacation.

On the topic of card refusal...the US ain't nice to my debit card...some stores accept it others don't...same with banks. I know now where it is accepted and where not, but in the beginning it was quite annoying. (I still have a credit card/master card and could always pay, but it was still annoying!)
