Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
I ship Daniel/Janet, though beyond that I'm not really into SG1 shipping. To say I don't go out of my way to find it or play with it (Michael and Teryl did that for me ).
Hello everyone, I’ve come down with a summer cold, those are so not fun.
Thanks for all of the fan fic links everyone.
I think the shift in them that happened after TLG was pretty interesting, I mean John and Elizabeth were always really close but after TLG things kinda changed, I mean even in the very next episode ("Coup D'etat") they seemed different, closer in a way, and I don’t just mean the way they stood really close together in the scene with Ladon or even the final scene of the episode but it was more something unspoken, it made me believe that they did talk about it at some point between the episodes. I also noticed that after TLG he did seem to not flirt as much anymore, there was the thing in ‘Inferno’ but basically nothing in season 3, who knows; maybe it did affect him more than he knew and/or wanted to let on, that could be something else worth noting in a fic.
Meep! *sends hot tea with lemon*
That is a fascinating observation about the subtle shift in John's behavior post-TLG. Crafty boy, isn't he?
That scene in "Inferno" is now one of my favorites. And it's true, now that I think about it, they seemed closer but not as flirty. Hmm. So we're missing Sparky discussions from after both TLG and TRW, now.
*looks around* Did you guys hear something? It sounded like an army of fic bunnies preparing to attack!
It finally happened - I came back and didn't understand what everyone was talking about
ZOMG, the apocalypse is at hand!

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon.Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Sorry you don't feel well, Brie. *hugs and sends warm blanket and thermos of hot tea*
Your idea really has the plot bunnies jumping up and down. I may have to try something tomorrow after my interview. I'm hoping it's a good sign I was called for the interview an hour after I dropped off my resume today.
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!
I hate when that happens I have so many ideas for Sparky fics but I AM NOT WRITING THEM.....it's frustrating.
I know, right? I can see a scene happening clear as day, and then when I open up Microsoft Works ... nothing.
Maybe I should go back to pencil and paper for a while. Sometimes, because it takes longer to write by hand, the ideas flow a little more freely when I hand-write stories. *shrugs*

*crosses fingers* Here's hoping it's a good sign too! I've applied places where I never even got called.
Turning in early. Stomach is still a little topsy turvy. And I've got a lot of errands to run tomorrow since I'll be out of town this weekend.
And oh, hot dang, just realized I will not be here for the "Conversion" snark-a-thon. Dang it!
Oh well. Have a good night, see y'all in the morning!
Since we got to talking about missing discussions from TLG and TRW this little ficlet for TRW kept screaming at me to write it. I'm not sure about it though. I think I may have took the ending a little too far.
Spoiler:
Sparky heart-to-heart
Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard sat in his room working on a Sudoku book because he couldn’t sleep. While Dr. Elizabeth Weir had been cleared by Dr. Carson Beckett, he was still worried about her. The few hours she had fought with the nanites for control of her own body had seemed like centuries to John.
If he was being honest with himself, John knew exactly why he was so worried about Elizabeth. He was just not ready to admit how madly in love he was with Elizabeth to himself or to her. Yet. Thankfully his door chimed to distract him from his musings.
As if summoned by his thoughts, Elizabeth now stood in his doorway looking a little unsure of herself.
“Do you have a moment, John,” asked Elizabeth.
“For you,” answered John. “Always. Please come in.”
“John, I can’t go through that again,” began Elizabeth. She had decided to just come out and say it. She’d deal with John’s response after. “I will not become a threat to the city or you. If the nanites become active again and Carson or Rodney can’t shut them off, I want you to end my life.”
“Elizabeth,” began John before she cut him off again.
“John, I know how much you care for me,” said Elizabeth trying to quell the protest she saw forming on his lips. “Believe me the feeling is mutual. But you have no idea what the nanites put me through. For awhile I thought I was back on Earth negotiating treaties. Some how you kept showing up as this shadowy figure. Right at the end, you came in crystal clear and I knew what I had to do to get back here. I have no idea what could happen if I loose to them. You can’t let that happen. Please promise me.”
“If I have to,” began John reluctantly. “You have me word, Elizabeth. If your nanites cause you to become a threat to the city, I’ll end your life before you can bring any harm to us. I have one condition, however. Since we both know how much we care for each other now, I want to see if we can make things work between us. IOA be damned.”
“Well,” said Elizabeth before kissing John tenderly on the cheek. “Can you settle for just that until I check with Carson if there is anyway I might spread my nanites to anyone else?”
“I’ll take it as a promise on many wonderful things to come,” said John as he escorted Elizabeth to his door.

I sometimes do that when I don't have a computer at hand, but when I return later on to type them up I realize that once again my fingers weren't able to follow the speed of my thoughts and I made one word out of many leaving out a few letters, or forgot words altogether. Makes for an interesting read though...
