Capt. Hammer explaining what his "hammer" is, as well as his prissiness over geese and ducks are two of the dozens of hilarious moments in just these first two acts.

    My favorite song lines are
    Spoiler:
    It's a brand new day
    And the sun is high
    All the birds are singing
    That you're gonna die

I love the combination of sweetness and darkness - like yummy dark chocolate.

Glad to see the vids have been so well received.

    And the villian names!

I didnt think the ending fit very well with the rest of the acts.

The Captain Hammer song was the only funny part

Having read earlier comments from somewhere in that bit towards the end of Act III
                  Spoiler:
I totally expected Penny to save Doctor Horrible from Captain Hammer. And then... to see what happened instead, it kinda ruined the rest of the ep for me. The new red coat was VERY snazzy, but I was still kinda traumatized. And it turned a complete 180 from the tone of the rest of the show. It's kinda like watching Mr Bunnsy Has an Adventure only to have Ratty Rupert get eaten by a cat at the end.

Maybe I just need more time and a second viewing, but this ep was not made of nearly as much win as the previous eps.

Poor Doctor Horrible, I really was kinda expecting he and Penny to end up together....

Mind you I kinda get what the story was telling.....

The last line made my heart break for poor Doctor Horrible. "I won't feel a thing"

                      WHY JOSS WHY!!!!

I easily get attached to characters....

I agree. The other two acts were light and kind of silly (but in a good way), but the ending was a total shocker.

I was wondering how it was going to work out in the end, but I sure wasn't expecting that.

                        Spoiler:
And didn't what he wanted include getting the girl?

I guess what he wanted were TWO things. Get the girl, and get into the evil league of evil. Right from Act I it was like he had to choose between them (the van vs Penny for attention).

                              Indeed.

The ending might have stepped away from the generally light-hearted tone of the rest, but it's the kind of thing I expect Joss Whedon to do.

I'll watch it all in one tomorrow.
