Mexican and Central American immigrants, who have long histories of migration to the United States, represent 37 percent of the U.S. foreign-born population, yet are disproportionately represented (71 percent) among the total unauthorized immigrant population. Mexico alone accounts for more than half of the estimated 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States, with another 15 percent and 14 percent from Central America and Asia, respectively.

If this is the attitude of youngsters regarding politicians, maybe we ought to raise the voting age to 50; by that time the little head doesn't dominate the thinking quite so much.

OMG the wilful blindness on display here. It's freaking amazing.
Trump was the one that held his breath and stomped his feet and still is about his wall, "Waaaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa I want my wall" and if I don't get it I'll hold everyone hostage.
Isn't that the action of a childish person not acting like a grown up?Go home aliens, go home!!!!

funny thing is 9/11 got him re-elected even though he didn't prevent it
the neocons set the bar very low on this one

We're not talking about the same thing. By "First Generation", I'm referring to the folks that sneak in or overstay. Their subsequent generations may do better than they did, though.
Sanders wasn't even half the looney that Ocasio-Cortez is.
Originally posted by Annoyed View PostI dunno about SGalisia, but I'm bashing Occasio-Cortez because she wants to turn this country into a socialist paradise, and is apparently not even aware that she cannot legally do some of the things she's going on about. They are against the Constitution. And we've discussed how hard (impossible these days) it is to change that.
And, maybe she does something for lizards and maybe human younglings, but she does nothing for me. Like that would make a difference in my reaction to her political views anyway.
Originally posted by Annoyed View PostEven though I'm agnostic, I've always said that the Ten Commandments are a good set of rules for living, regardless of their source.
You say this but you don't understand the ten commandments. You don't understand them because you are incapable of seeing your life as secondary to that of others. If something doesn't benefit you directly you either oppose it or don't care if it is opposed.
The Ten commandments are merely a categorical starting point for the some 613 commandments that God gave Israel. And each of those commandments have multiple principles or manners of fulfilling them throughout every facet of human life for the duration of a lifetime. It is best simplified by loving others, even those who have no benefit to you. If you truly believed what I quoted, you would not say what you said above.
Originally posted by Annoyed View PostI resent that accusation. I am not a racist. Yes, absolutely, I am very strongly against illegal immigration, but that is because I am against illegal immigration. I wouldn't care where they are coming from.
The only reason it appears to be racial in nature as that we aren't having a problem with Canadians, Europeans, Asians or other people sneaking into the country. The only racial aspect is where the illegals are coming from.
Second: Over 1 million Asians are illegally here in the US. Hundreds of thousands of Illegal Europeans, Hundreds of thousands of illegal Africans. These don't matter?

The fact is, still thinking of Mexicans when it comes to illegal entries is a stereotype that has little bases in reality. You should be thinking of Central Americans, Asians, and Africans.

Here's a problem, you fail to analyze the information they are giving you. Currently in the country does not mean entering the country. The majority of illegal entries are Central American. East Asian and Indian Sub Continent illegal entries (or visa overstays) are outpacing Latin American entries (or visa overstays). Net migration from Mexico is in the negative. So to continue focusing on Mexicans is rather dumb and outdated by at least a decade. You can read that in the report itself. And I have seen similar data so I did add a bit more in my comment here, but what I added supports and supplements your source.

And here we have a nice little piece about the liberals kindergarten darling. Oh, and it also points out media bias rather nicely.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...=.1389ca80d093
Among the many gems:
But facts are crucial, especially when you are proposing the largest increase in government spending in human history. Vox recently added up the cost of all her proposals — from Medicare-for-all, to free college, guaranteed jobs and the “Green New Deal.” The price tag was $42.5 trillion over the next decade — more than twice the current national debt. Sorry, you can’t pay for that through Pentagon accounting errors.

Remember the W Bush election? I clearly recall the pro-Reps repeating that Bush fixed the economy with his ''identity policies'' yet he completely messed up the country's finances.
Unless you haven't noticed, Facts don't matter for Trump supporters.Cool slogans, the ''harsh'' comments and tweets, flashy apparel such as the MAGA hats. They ride, breathe and live on emotions. They love simple stuff, stuff that don't require them to think about the implications, it's ''cool'', they enjoy having a POTUS that trolls the international community on a daily basis.
Trump could legit invade Canada tomorrow, kill thousands of American soldiers in the process, and Trump supporters would praise him for it. He could make the US dollar worth 25 cents and they would say he raised the currency.
Question is, how many are too dumb to realize it? Sheeps will be sheeps.Spoiler:I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. And another leftie doesn't get it.
Warren on Wealth Tax: Assets Worldwide Will Be Taxed With A "Very High Rate of Monitoring, Auditing"
Ok, so they get this through Congress. And their wealthy targets move out of the country. The U.S. does not have taxing jurisdiction in other nations.
She talks about it, but she doesn't "get it". The very fact that the targets of these tax bill are wealthy by nature gives them the ability to move or otherwise shield their assets from the excessive zeal of tax collectors. This has always been the case, and always will be the case. That can't be changed.
So who does get the bill for all these pipe dreams? The poor guy who can't afford to shield their assets and income.

I don't worship Jehovah or any other God. I have no idea if there even is one, and if there is, it's quite likely that it is so far beyond human comprehension there wouldn't be a point.
I am fine with legal immigration. But the quantities of immigrants granted entry and who is granted legal status should be for the benefit of the U.S., not the immigrant or his multinational corporate employer who just wants cheap labor.
Does that also apply when racial minorities such as Hispanics and Blafrican-Americans ("Last Man Standing" joke reference) are granted preferential treatment in college admission, some government jobs and such?
Doesn't seem to be just a stereotype to me. Clearly, in recent history there has been a dominant source of illegal immigrants. You deny this?
