thats why we use multiple beaming arrays to shoot the cruiser at different angles and essientally create a box of fire around him, but since the episode called for them not being able to destroy the ship, they didint do this.

and plus once we get close enough to the cruiser since were smaller, we could run circles around the cruiers and blast away protected by our superior shields.

also, it might even be able to modify the beams to shoot in shorter bursts that would spread out the fire to make it more like a shotgun blast if multiple arrays did it simultaneously.

create a cruiser class with tons of detonative potential. ram a 304 with tons of em, as a single village can make dozens of hives. so dozens of cruisers. keep ramming 304's

no, just a potential strategy to protect against cruisers. everything i said is possible and can be proven with evidence from the show, with excepotion to modifying the beams, thats just a possibility.

Well modifying the already wankish beams is fanwank. We shouldn't be able to build them and half the Asgard equipment IMO let alone modify them.

Multiple beaming arrays is fanwank because I doubt we could power that many beams.

We may not be more manueverable. Size isn't everything, if the cruiser has better engines it won't make much difference if we're slightly smaller.

Each 304 already have at least 2 beam weapons.

All of which face in one direction. Limited firing arc.

we already have multiple beaming arrays. and since all of our power generation comes from naquada generators, all we have to do to add more power is put in some more naquada generators which are quite samll and would be easy to do so we could actually add more beaming arrays.

and as for modifying the beam weapons all we would have to do is make them shoot in shorter bursts which shouldnt be that hard and if we really cant hit them with the beam weapons, we just add some asgard blast of plasma weapons which would make our fire more accurate and still proboly be deadly enough to take them out with a few seconds of fire, i mean they have no shields and " hull regeneration" wont help as much as a shield would.

even if the cruiser has better engines, although thats very unlikely, it wouldnt be that much better than ours and it wouldnt be like they could outrun us so we can still stay in close proximity and fly circles around the cruisers and blowing them to hell. i mean once you get close enough to another ship its kinda hard to miss when you shoot at point blank range.

yeah.... if only there were a way to turn them around?..... oh wait there is, we just turn them around or mount another one or two in the opposit direction!!

Actually, looking at "Be All My Sins Remember'd" again, the 304's have at least 3 beam weapons, one on each side of their "head" and one on the base of their "neck." So it probably is possible for them to add one on their "butt."

But it's so much more humiliating for the Wraith when they get blown up by the ass beams.

The Daedalus could have 10 beam weapons if they wanted. Having the weapon and using it are two entirely different things.

Simply route the power to the weapon needed. Even if it took a few seconds to charge each weapon, by routing the power to where it was needed when it was needed, you could easily have 10 beam weapons on our ships. You aren't powering all 10 at once, only 2 or 3, whatever the limit is. But you would still maintain your ability to shoot in all directions. No, you couldn't shoot in every direction at once, but if the most shots that we would need would be 5 per target, it really wouldn't be a problem.

That is assuming we can't just give each weapon its own power supply.

More than 2 beams on the ships make it so we have a huge advantage going into any fight as even if we are surronded having more than 2 beam arrays give us an edge
