Sig Rules Clarification

I have sigs turned off.

so many people have so many awful pictures and junk in their sigs its hard to tell where new posts begin and where signatures end.

Same here and you did notice that the pages load up faster, IMO.

I have them turned on.

I like to see what's in the person's sig, even if it contains aweful pics and junk.

And yes, it does get annoying at times.

Sure I do.
But you'll notice it is all text, and its small font, and it just contains my name, my AIM name incase anyone felt like chatting, and links to DVD reviews I do - which are mostly Sci-fi so they fit well here.

No big clunky graphics that are usually pretty much the epitome of artistic death, or long stringy cheesey multi-colored/fonted quotes or sayings that are flanked by 15 "~*~@" etc, on each side.

Pages do load faster too.
I have avatars turned off too. There's no point in having them on if everyone is confined to a set selection except for a few. So there's nothing different to see.

And lastly, if you want to see someone's signature, you can just click on their name on their post, and choose "view profile" and there it is!

Winner.

But like I said. That's just my opinion.

nope. you need to use a graphics program to resize it.

Paint is a program that's free on windows based computers. you can use that to resize pictures

Photoshop.

If you don't have Photoshop, you can crop (like Tyler did) in MS Paint.
Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Paint

I don't see why people wouldn't follow those guidelines. They're perfectly reasonable. I'm able to have everything I want in my signature with a little bit of room to spare!

you might have your text display size in the actual browser itself set higher than default.
i'm not sure.
