It's a good point, which harkens back to Darkness. Everyone started pushing buttons without really understanding what they were doing. Only Rush could see they were losing power. If no one else has the expertise to really understand things, perhaps they should be content not having access to something like the bridge.

Rush is right about Young; once the bridge becomes known, young would take it over, and other people would be up there pushing buttons, and causing far more harm that Rush ever could. Once he understands the systems, he can probably start instructing some people on what to do. Right now, he's the only qualified person to be up there.

So the real question is: Why reveal the bridge to everyone else at all?

A good way of looking at it. He's pretty much doing this for everyone's benefit. Yet we have short-sighted people with wounded egos who can't take the fact that he's doing it for the greater good. If he can stop the ship for longer periods of time, then they won't have to worry so much about possibly stranding people.

in the mean time he also managed to kill people and crash their shuttle because he was too overwhelmed and understaffed to keep an eye on all the information the bridge was providing
I'm an average viewer. As plain as they come. People make TV shows based on my demographic.

        Million's of ZPM's, ZPM's for free! Millions of ZPM's, ZPM's for me!

Information the people in the control room could have just as easily accessed themselves. The only difference is Rush gets the information presented to him a lot easier.

It's interesting how Rush used the chair to fog the rest of the crew that it cured Chloe. He can now manipulate Chloe without others knowing. It's very creepy. Like others have pointed out we've lost two people already due to Rush's selfishness on not letting the others know about the bridge. So maybe this is Rush's way to better the odds, meanwhile he just hooked Chloe up to Destiny which could turn out to be a very bad thing. I sense more dark times before all comes to light. What a character though, amazing.

It's already been established that Rush wasn't responsible. As morbosfist pointed out, those in the control room have access to all the same information. Also, Young gave the order.

Does everyone else know if it worked or not? Rush told Chloe it didn't, but we don't know if everyone else knows that or not. Logically speaking, they'd be quite aware if it worked or not very shortly, as I suspect they would observe her and see if she goes into one of those moments again.

Rush's final line indicates she's keeping it quiet so they don't lock her up. Maybe the second personality is playing along.

Rush is certainly very manipulative, but I'm just wondering if he made another mistake by allowing Chloe to access the Chair. For all we know, maybe Chloe is the one manipulating Rush. The alien personality obviously has a large degree of control over Chloe, and has the ability to manipulate her memories so she doesn't realize what she was doing. Maybe the alien personality is intentionally helping Rush to gain access to the ship, but it wants Rush to think he's in control. Putting Chloe in the chair could have given untold amount of information to the aliens. They probably wanted to do it themselves, but the Chair could only interface with an Ancient-like physiology. Having Chloe work out some of the ship's most difficult problems could practically be giving the ship away to the aliens. Maybe at some point, the aliens would exert complete control over Chloe and force her to turn the ship around back to their galaxy.

That's one interpretation, but it doesn't meant the others know whether the treatment failed or not. Like I said, it'll become painfully obvious very soon whether or not it worked, so lying in this case would be stupid. They are obviously going to observe her, and the first time she blacks out and does something, or writes alien in her diary again, they'll know.

What Rush probably meant is that Chloe feels only Rush can actually cure her. Thus, she'll play along with what he wants. After all, he was the only other person taken by the aliens, so she probably feels a certain kinship. Rush obviously isn't too thrilled about having those aliens on the ship (it was something he was very afraid of in an episode awhile back), so he probably honestly wants to cure her. But he has to understand what the aliens have done to her, before he can do that. And if he can use this to understand the aliens or the ship better, that's a bonus.

Rush modified the chair so it wouldn't transfer information. She couldn't have gotten anything out of it.

                        He can do that?

Either way, letting Chloe work on the ship's problems is still giving away information about the ship, unless Rush planned for that one, too...

If he couldn't Chloe would be dead. Letting Chloe work on the ship is part of his plan. As long as he limits her information, it won't hurt, and she can't do anything to send it back anyway.

Normal human Chloe would be dead. Alien-enhanced Chloe who can heal gunshot wounds easily... who knows?

Still, he modified the interface. It wasn't working like it normally does.

If so, Rush's attitude has been tweaked to act this way, and thus might not be entirely his fault.

The other side is, he might not be crazy because he really is acting in everyone's best interest, doing what is best for the crew. Obviously, there are always people who don't realize what is best for them, or are incapable of making good decisions.

By the definition of the word, Rush is obviously not sociopathic nor psychopathic, and anyone who thinks that way hasn't picked up a dictionary lately. ;p
Come on! Have you forgotten why everyone is stranded on Destiny a universe away from their family and friends? He wasn't tweaked by aliens. Cracking the code presented Rush with an opportunity to further his agenda - and true to his arrogant and self-serving core personality he took it; and damn the consequences to everyone else.
