A behind-the-scenes pic from (most likely) this episode:

I do believe that's the Stargate event horizon in the background.

                        Press Release:

                        Spoiler:
                        “WATER”

                        Air Date: Friday, October 30, 2009 @ 9 PM

Despite severe rationing and around the clock security, the water reserves on board the Destiny continue to drop. Dr. Nicholas Rush (ROBERT CARLYLE) has no explanation for this latest setback but, if they are to survive, they must find a new water source soon. The only planet within range is a frozen wasteland surrounded by a thin and poisonous atmosphere. Donning two of the ships deteriorated spacesuits, Col. Young (LOUIS FERREIRA) and Lt. Scott (BRIAN J. SMITH) head to the planet’s surface, hoping to retrieve enough ice to replenish their water supply. But once there, tests reveal that the ice near the Stargate contains traces of highly toxic chemicals. Young and Scott take off in search of drinkable samples knowing they don’t have long before their air will run out and Destiny jumps back to FTL.

Back on board the ship, Lt. Tamara Johansen (ALAINA HUFFMAN) works with the crew to catch an intruder they believe is responsible for the lost rations.

                          Small update:

Major D. Davis writes: “What episode would you say is going to be a fan favorite(besides air)?”

BJS: I’m predicting Time and Space to be the big fan favorites. Water, Light and Human will be high up there too. Action packed, fast-paced, surprising, full of some crazy twists. I also predict a few kino scenes will be played over and over again.

Madwelshboy writes: “Out of the episodes you’ve read and/or shot so far, which do you think shows Matthew Scott at his best and at his worst?”

BJS: Water shows him at his best. Pain shows him at his worst.

Well I know that episode six will be called water where they probably solve their water issues but they should be already really short on water.

They are 80+ people who drink all at least a liter a day, and seven people where half a day in the desert where they need at least the double amount. Also the injured would probably have gotten more water. Additionally they filled 20-40 liters in the air scrubber, which adds up to at least a hundred liters in the 15-20h I assume they are aboard Destiny.

Whilst Atlantis never touched the supply issues really, the people aboard Destiny should be very thirsty by now.

Perhaps I missed someone bringing a barrel of H2O, but I didn't see it.

A lot of the things that made Stargate awesome, but just with steroids, spread all over it. - Brian J. Smith

Well, according to Riley, they were already rationing it...Also, they've only been on the ship for around a day...Consider that all these episode are fairly close to each other.

We didn't see them bring the little canteens they were drinking from either, but they got there.

When they were evacuating the Icarus base, Young told some one to start bringing as many supplies as they could through the gate with them. Water would be included.
I'm not an actor. I just play one on TV.
