He could just accept Sam's apology and pretend he really didn't remember a thing, but instead he teases her, and makes reference to finding her hot The teasing shows a level of comfort being well established between them by this point, but the sexual nature of the teasing is also him telling her that yes he likes her enough to tease her, but he likes her as a woman and to tease her as a woman, and that's a whole other ball game
