Tok'ra Thunk/Discussion/Appreciation thread

Chapter 14 of Compromised posted. It's kind of weird, posting this story—I've been writing at about the speed I'm posting, but I have ten chapters in the buffer, so going back to edit the next chapter for posting is like traveling back in time in the story for me.

Have you considered posting it on Symbiotica (tokra.fandomnet.com) also? There's many tok'ra fans there who'd like to read it I'm sure!

That might be a good idea—I hadn't even thought about that because it seemed like the site was inactive before. Maybe now it's different, though. Do you know if anyone who's a member can post, or do the stories have to be reviewed first?

I think you should. Its not inactive - just sumtimes long periods with none posting. Stories aren't reviewd before posting. When you're a member you just post the story and it shows up imediatly. People can then review/comment like on ff.net.

I'm quite sure you dont have to be amember of the tokra-resistance yahoogroup to post, but you need to email panthera on the email she has posted on the symbiotica page (http://69.80.208.157/fandomnet/tokra/fic2/) and chose a penname to post stories under.

Its probaly a good idea to join the yahoogroup anyway because then you can anounce posting there. Its a grouop for everyone who likes the Tok'ra (any of them). Its used for discussion about the Tok'ra and anouncing posting of stories and such. There's usually only a few mails a week from it and I think you can chose to only recive posts on web. Something else just occurred to me - it was suggested I should've dressed up as a Tok'ra for Halloween (most Glasgow clubs grant free entry on Halloween if you have a costume) but it's a bit late to be doing that now. Anyone fancy collaborating on a way to do that well next year? LOL (Hardest part might be the zat, but if anyone's a member of hobbytalk.com, I can point you to a user who might be able to put us in touch with a rather good amateur zat maker

lol, and get a stuffed snake you can pull out of your shirt! I've seen some pretty cool zat replicas at conventions

Heh. Would be a laugh if lots of us did that. If there's a Jaffa Appreciation Thread or a System Lord Appreciation Thread, we could co-ordinate with them to do staged firefights... LOL

Haven't seen a zat-guide, though...but the guys in the pic on the first site seem to have made some.

They also seem to be making a fanfilm, so I guess they are pretty serious about their Tok'ra stuff

Hehe - not bad uniforms etc. though no Tok'ra uniforms. For a Tok'ra fangroup I'd have expected them to have Tok'ra in their film. Those that are not Wraith or Atlantis-team look kinda Genii, don't they?

Their costumes look nice! Though I think making a Tok'ra uniform is difficult. Can you buy them perhaps at some official site? Or a zat?

Sounds good to me. :-) I'm eclectic in my skills and preferences, so maybe a Martouf kind of role for me?
