Tok'ra Thunk/Discussion/Appreciation thread

My zat arrived today :-D
It's a solid resin cast with the top "flare" piece separate; seems to be the common style. So I'm now gonna design workings to fit inside the form - a mechanism for the opening function and LEDs (possibly a sound effect function if I find the components) for firing. Once I've got that basic framework together, I'll build a sturdy but demountable zat casing round it. And don't worry, I'm taking plenty pictures and notes as I go, so there can be a web tutorial. If I had the time and money to make several, I could do a Blue Peter style YouTube tutorial LOL But I don't have that, so I guess not.

Oh, I'm here. I just don't have much to say on the fanfiction subject because I don't read much fic and since that 2005 fic with my sister I haven't written much fic.

I don't read much fanfic either - except for Tok'ra fic. I usually read all fanfic I find where the word 'Tok'ra' are in the summary, or the name of one or more Tok'ra are in the header *grins*. I am Tok'ra obsessed...and I will even just as happily read stories about OC Tok'ra.
So, I guess the real reason I read little fanfic is that there is usually no more than 1 chapter or so in a Tok'ra-related story per week...and then the irregular surprise of an extra Tok'ra story pops up from time to time

I know Isis Awards is running, so I am looking forward to them opening voting and *hopefully* there will be some new Tok'ra fanfic to read I haven't seen before. Unfortunately, they are limited to ship, I think, so I won't get any new gen stories to read...but I may get the names of new Tok'ra authors who I can then look up and see what they have written otherwise

I'm pretty sure we're all part of that "weirdo" club here. Personally I don't see how people couldn't be fascinated by them, even in fanfic.
