It doesn't say when the issue goes on sale. Anyone know?
It says June 2007 Volume 13 issue 3. So we have a couple of months before anything is realeased... wondering how this person knows what it says already?
Amanda's name is on the cover because there is an article about her going to Atlantis in the magazine. Stargate Atlantis: The cast and crew welcome Amanda Tapping to the show as the series prepares for season four.
Should start hitting the news stands next week. The current issue is due to be on the shelf until 4/9.
So how about that Samantha Clark character
Spoiler:
Martin Wood, who directed more than 70 "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate Atlantis" TV episodes, will helm the film, which stars Ben Browder and Amanda Tapping, both of whom will reprise their roles as Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell and Lt. Col. Samantha Clark from the original "Stargate SG-1" series.
Well at least they got her rank right. A good deal of interviewers still list her as Major or Captain Carter. *cough*AOL*cough* Don't these people investigate or have proof readers?
RCC is saying that Sam's finally stepping out of the circle of the team to lead. I think Sam's stepped out of that 'circle' plenty of times - she's led the team in Jack's absence and on her own. She was pretty much hands on with the development of the F-302s, F-303 & F-304. She headed up R&D at Area51. Has Cooper forgotten all of that? Only thing missing is her promotion to Full-bird Colonel.
And I just thought it was neat that they bothered to put her name on the cover. I would've thought that any schmoe who doesn't watch the Gates wouldn't necessarily know her by name, but I guess I was wrong. Color me "pleasantly surprised".
ETA: 5000 posts, guys! I was wondering when this was gonna happen - and just a month shy of my three-year anniversary with GW, too.

Spoiler:
Oh I have a feeling we'll be seeing that by the time the season begins.
