Season Nine is just Cameron fantasizing about being a great hero while he's in hospital. None of it has happened and none of it ever will happen.
Sam is sitting by the pond at Jack's cabin, with Jack, Teal'c and Daniel close by and, after their weekend away, they're all going back to work at the SGC.
*Wakes up* Boy you guys won't believe the nightmare I just had

If they do finally have this discussion regarding who is in charge of SG-1 and if it is to be Mitchell then I want to see Landry tell Mitchell...
Spoiler:
That Sam did not come back to the SGC voluntarily to be the 2IC of SG-1. That her return to the SGC came due to orders much higher up who felt Sam's skill and knowledge would best be utilized against the Ori if she were a member of the SGC's flagship team instead of Area 51; and while Mitchell may have already been officially given the command of SG-1, Sam was only there to provide her expertise until it was felt that Cameron and the SGC no longer needed it.
Because regardless of who is leading SG-1, I still can't believe Sam just one day decided Ya know... I change my mind. I really do want to be a member of SG-1 again, even if it means taking a demotion in position.
I would like to see that addressed as well. I honestly can't believe that so many people don't see it as a demotion in position. Boggles my mind, it does.

How is going from being in command of however many people were working in the Research and Development section of Area 51 - was that Maybourne's job in Season Two? - to being second in command on a team she has previously led not a demotion in position?
Yep. Highly amusing. And TPTB - at least this season - love to help out in that regard, by perpetuating the idea that some people are bound by rules that others are not.
Consuming alcohol on base? Consuming alcohol off-world? Having the CMO be the general's daughter? Wha?!
And then you get into the fact that they're going to probably suggest that Daniel and Vala have some kind of... something going on. And they kinda suggested that Lam and Cam had some kind of... something in the past. Assuming Lam is back next season at all, they'll probably play that up (though it could be something like Janet/Jack, where they never, ever bring it up again).
It all comes down to priorities. Was the alcohol on base really necessary, or did they need an obvious way of showing that it was a "bad day." Was the alcohol off-world really necessary, or did they need a way to put Cameron and Alien Chick more at ease? Daddy Dearest and Dr. McBitter? Nice conflict, I suppose, but got kinda strained towards the end - and not really in a good way. Ended very anticlimactically, actually.
But what are there priorities? On what and whom do they want to focus?
I guess we'll find out once the series starts.
Okay, what did I miss? Cause Cam and Lam? Never got that...but that could seriously be because of my aversion to Dr. Suess ships.
Jack and Janet? I know I missed something here! Explain, please!
If it involved Mitchell trying to force Sam, Daniel and Teal'c to join him for a night of watching movies and "bonding", then it would have been funny if they had announced that they all had plans, and then the three of them had proceeded to Jack's cabin for an SG-1 reunion.
Well now, to be fair, it was Daniel who brought up movie night. Cam just picked out the movie. A really, really bad movie, yes...but I didn't see Cam as trying to force them into movie night.
TPTB say that 'it's not a demotion' so folks repeat that it's not a demotion
Oh! I see. It's all that thinking for myself, then, that screwed me up. Damn those brain cells.

I....just don't know. It's one of those things that I simply can't bend my mind around. Not only can I not see it myself, I really, really can't fathom how any one else thinks it isn't.
