*He's THREATENING us with the idea that if there's a season 9, he'll be in it. Okay, it's not really a threat, but when you don't want something or someone, it feels like a threat.

Threatening? I can do threatening. I've already stopped watching once, after Season 5. Came back this year.

I CAN DO IT AGAIN.

I could get Seasons 1-4 of "The West Wing" from Amazon, open a bottle of wine and enjoy some good old-fashioned Josh/Donna ship. I could redecorate my room. I could take a long hike in the woods. I could go shopping. I could sit on my lazy bum and finish my diploma. It's not as if I have nothing to do. Just a hint, TPTB. *growl*

Evening, Jack's house.
Sam's car parks on Jack's driveway. She exists and go up to his entrance door.
She rings.
After some time, Jack comes to open the door...

Jack: Carter?
Sam: I broke up with Pete...
There's a slight moment of silence, then Jack steps forward and encircles her waist.
Jack: I resigned...

And the rest is... Up to your imagination!!

Pete certainly is recurring tho, isn't he? Bit like cucumber or a particulary potent gerkin...keeps comin' back and leaving a nasty taste..
