I'd echo fems as well (which happens also to be my previous suggestion): can't we just have multiple reviews for the particularly shippy episodes in Season 4 rather than a hat draw, because S4 is so precious for shippers? That way everyone could do it if they wanted to.

I think it only works once on human males or something. It didn't work on Daniel either, did it? Otherwise it might have something to do with the fact that Jack was brought out of it earlier than the others in Hathor. Or maybe her first breath wasn't quite right after all those years in the sarc and she accidentally made them immune, like how in some countries they use weakened pathogens to create (artificial) immunity for certain infections

you know now that i think about it i may have caught a glimpse of the last minute of out of mind playing on my dad's tv when i was going to bed so really my first sg-1 episode was this one. i didn't get into until season 3 into the fire.

Yes, if I remember right, it's like nishta that way. Once you have been under its influence, then come out of it, you're immune to it.

But wouldn't Hathor know that they'd be immune this time? How did the Sam and Janet snap the guys out of it the first time? I'm going back to the review for this episode to see if it was mentioned.

One of the reasons Jack came out of it faster than the others was that he was put into the sarcophagus to heal him. That was what probably helped him snap out of it. And Hathor does have to be in proximity to the men for it to work, at least the first time around.

Sparky, I tried to green you, but no luck. . Of course you would've known the sarcophagus snapped Jack out of it in the original Hathor episode because you did the cool review that I went back to check to see what happened.

Most likely the writers forgot the comment in "Hathor" about having to be in close proximity to keep control. By "Out of Mind" somebody likely thought it would be funnier to have it play out like it did.
