I have a question for you UKers. What's the weather like right now? What type of jacket/coat should I bring with me? (I'm usually not a person who is cold easily.)

LadyGalaxy - It's quite chilly up North, I couldn't really say how the weather is in London but I'd say bring a warm coat / gloves - better to be safe then sorry, you can always take it off and just wear a cardi if you're too warm
Rain coat. Umbrella. Dress in layers. That is always my advice for London, any time of the year
Just about what it's like here in the PNW! (Pacific Northwest - USA) I'll feel right at home. Daytime is exact, night a degree or too cooler in London - but close enough!

It's currently on the chilly side and we've had a fair few showers lately, so bring a warm coat and an umbrella if you're fussy about getting wet

This is pretty much the advice for most of the uk any time of the year isn't it?
And ........ *drumroll*........... the painting is done!!! Apart from a bit of touching up around the edges
Now all I have to do is tidy up where I decided to have a clear out in the cupboards as I was going around the house so at the moment each room has a load of mess in the center. Not sure what's being kept and what's not at the moment, that's my job for tomorrow before we pick up Ellie on Saturday morning

Thank you ladygris for my lovely sig and avi
Thanks for all the birthday good wishes everyone. Just got back from dinner (not as good as Andersons but tasty) and feeling very spoiled so it's all good!
Ack no spoilers.... please! No chance for me to try and download that on my whopping 1.26 meg ADSL connection here in "sunny" Dorset. It's going to have to wait until I'm home.
Looking forward to you seeing it. I'm missing my Castle squees with you
although not as high because I'm actually kinda nervous about meeting you guys. Don't normally do well with new people - socialising isn't exactly my forte....
We have Jumble, hugs, wine and Anderson's desserts. The combination is infallible. You'll be fine
Besides, all the rest of us survived the experience of moving from an online-Woohoo to an in-person Woohoo. We've all been there
Ohhhhhh! Don't get me started about Josi! I mean, how does such a sweet, butterwoodn'tmeltinhermouth little WooHoo turn into such an outrageous party animal?
I blame the sticky toffee pudding - we should all make an effort to keep her away from it

As the others have said, definitely on the cool side, a bit windy and showery. It was 8C/45F today, and looks like it's going to continue around that sort of temperature for the foreseeable. Layers, scarf, gloves, coat and brolly for sure
