Why would anyone put a character/actress that is no longer on the show in a promo?

Because the Skiffy promo monkeys, as has been proven many times, to the frustration of the fans and TPTB alike, are useless!

They routinely mis-spell main character names, give incorrect or misleading informarion/tag-lines and completely spoil major plot points. A 12 year old with Windows Movie Maker could probably do a better job!

Yes, because they had Carter doing the exact same thing. And now they have Woolsey doing it. As long as they keep writing roles instead of characters, the show will be function with just about anyone filling that fundamental leader role.
