Couple months old but Corin recently completed an independent film, it currently has the working title of Evil Incarnate: Richard Speck.

Having recently completed a new cinematic chronicle of the Ed Gein story, director Michael Feifer begins filming a new exploration of the life and times of another notorious serial killer, Richard Speck, in Los Angeles tomorrow. According to Feifer, this new project, which bears the working title EVIL INCARNATE: RICHARD SPECK, is a different kind of animal than the Gein film. “This movie takes place over the course of three decades, and is more of a biopic that focuses on the nefarious things this guy had done and how he got away with so much. It will also deal with the injustice done to the victims and their families, and how the justice system let these people down.”

Heading up the genre-heavy cast is Corin (THE STAND) Nemec in the murderous title role, Andrew Divoff and Tony Todd as detectives investigating the case, Debbie Rochon as a prostitute pivotal to the story and Kane Hodder (Gein in Feifer’s previous film) as Speck’s stepfather.

If you have no idea, BABYLON 5: THE LOST TALES is a series of direct-
to-DVD stories JMS is currently filming up in Vancouver. These will
be in stores "Spring 2007" and I suppose they might show up on TV at
some point, but who knows?

Just a quick hello direct from the set of Babylon 5: The Lost Tales.
It's 4:51 p.m. and we just finished lunch (crew call at 10 a.m. lunch
at 4). Bruce Boxleitner just completed a series of shots in a
Starfury, his first time back in the saddle. We're ahead of schedule
and might actually wrap filming a day early. (It always goes faster
if you don't actually put film in the camera.) We've introduced a
new Centauri character -- Prince Regent Vintari, third from the
throne -- a new ISN reporter played by Teryl Rothery, a priest played
by Alan Scarfe, and a character who may have come too close to
certain dark forces played by Bruce Ramsey. Part One of "Voices in
the Dark" wrapped on Friday, and we should have part two done
tomorrow, after a long sequence shooting in the hallway of a new
Minbari Presidential Cruiser built for the Interstellar Alliance.

Wertheimer revs Motor City

Making Across the River to Motor City posed several problems, according to creator and showrunner Bob Wertheimer - due mainly to its multiple storylines that take place in two different time periods in cities on opposite sides of the Canada/U.S. border.

It is slated for CHUM stations for 2007/08 and wrapped its two-month shoot earlier this month.

CHUM has an option to order another 13 hours, however, which could see Wertheimer and company back at work by summer or fall 2007.

Across the River stars Sasha Roiz (Jeff Ltd.), David Fox (Northern Town) Anne Openshaw (Stargate: Atlantis [Aurora, Critical Mass, The Hive]) and Peter Stebbings (Kardia [and SG1's Allegiance and Cure]).

Peter Wingfield might not be a name familiar to many, but his face is unforgettable. The dashingly handsome actor is the latest to join the cast of BBC One medical drama Holby City.

Speaking to Holby.tv, he revealed how the chance of being in the drama almost passed him by.

He revealed how his agent thought he wouldn't be interested in becoming a regular on the show, but: "when I read the scenes and saw what a great character he is, I was in."

When asked whether he's anything like his on-screen alter-ego, Daniel Clifford, in real life, Wingfield admitted he was the complete opposite.

He said where Clifford is decisive and pragmatic, the actor confessed he was "a soppy bleeding heart bag of mush".

However, being in Holby isn't his first brush with medicine. He originally trained as a doctor, but revealed that only helped with the big words and gave him a sense of being comfortable in the medical environment.

The Cardiff-born thespian said he was first bitten by the acting bug in 1980, after a stint with the National Theatre of Wales.

Since then, he's gone on to enjoy acclaim on both sides of the pond.

Here, he's featured in shows such as Soldier Soldier and Cold Feet, while in America he's built up an impressive back catalogue of TV and film appearances.

Wingfield has appeared in movies including X2, as well as small-screen projects Stargate SG-1, Smallville, Charmed and Medium, but arguably his biggest television success was in the role of Methos in the Highlander series.
