Perhaps Destiny descended into a star that wasn't quite what it had expected. Damage is easy. Surviving a million plus years, not so much.

Still hard to believe that it all turned to dust. Since we haven't seen much dust. Except for the ones that were an alien infestation.

As fas as no one ever being on board. Until we see something in an episode that states as much, it's not true. Sorry, I didn't read the book, and probably never intend to.

At no point does he say that no one has boarded Destiny prior to us, he doesn't even state definitively that the Blues haven't either. "It would seem" is hardly conclusive.

until we recieve official word that there have been others aboard, then theyre have not been. period.
Sorry no, it doesn't work like that. You are the one claiming that no one has been aboard, therefore the burden of proof is on you. As things stand, it's still a possibility.

Destiny is a lot older than those plus million years Rush estimated. More than 50 million judging by the Antarctica gate. So the stuff aboard should have disintegrated unless it was naquadah based..

well as the most likely candidate to get abaord, id say their attempts are the things to start at. technically he did say taht they have never boarded it. he usually tends to be criptic enough so your not straight forward told whats going on. Besides, if they did come abaord why didnt they stop the ship and take itr to their world?

actually it does, there is NO evidence that anyone has been aboard, NONE whatsoever, however dialogue and comments such as JM's one sugest that no one has been aboard. Making the socre 1-No one aboard, 0-someone aboard.

The lack of supplies (which doesnt exist) is gone, the filtration system broke down on its own without needing to make air - your sandwich can completely disappear over time but that doesnt mean someone ate it.

Technically, yes it does. It would mean that various bacteria and micro organisms ate it

there hasn't BEEN any evidence that people were onboard. the filtration system is dead, well there could've been a chemical spill which clogged it up. or my earlier carbon explanation.

the shuttle door was never broken. it's just impossible to shut it from the outside, and you can't jam it to buy time for someone to get out since it detects the obstruction and the doors open again.

any supplies that are on the ship are VERY lucky to have survived millions of years. since some stuff is more prone to wear than others (couches anyone?) the wear-resistant stuff will have survived.

the third shuttle is gone because of battledamage. like, clamping system failed, shuttle wasn't included in the shield and vapourised when Destiny entered FTL.

we don't know how long the blues have been after Destiny. but there could've been more races who saw it either as an opportunity or a threat, and decided to attack it. obviously without success but this is more logical than a previous crew.

so boom, boom, boom, boom. all arguments for a previous crew are gone

ah no. Everything you said is just speculation. You cannot disprove the speculation of a previous crew, with speculation that it wasn't. So boom, boom and boom you're argument is also gone

The fact is that we do not know if there was a previous crew or not. Any observed "evidence" is purely circumstantial and can go either way. Even the comments by Joe Mallozzi do not count as "fact" because even he can not say with 100% certainty that a story involving a previous crew would not have come up had the show been given it's full 5 season run.

Maybe there was a crew before Young, Rush and co. Maybe there wasn't. Maybe at some point in the future some sort of Lost-esque time travel event occurs and Young, Rush and co end up onboard Destiny millions of years in the past, meaning there both was and wasn't a previous crew.
If the show was planned for 5 seasons, then we aren't even at the half way point yet, so really anything is possible. Unfortunately with the cancellation this is just one thing we will most likely never know for sure.

ummm JM's blog is the ONLY evidence either way, so therefore its what happens. future storylines do not count because...they haven't happend!

An interesting position for someone who wants to help with the "only canon wiki that exists", wouldn't you say?

no not really considering the fact that no one being on board is a CANON fact.

At this stage, your only solid proof is Joe's blog, and as it did not happen "on screen" it is not canon, just because a writer may say it is, does not make it canon. If you can provide "in show" proof, I will unreservedly apologise, Fair?
