I'd quite like a "married/together without kids" category to go with canon (because we'd know if Sam had had a kid before the end of the shows/movies) and I reckon it's unlikely there will be kids in her future with Jack at this point.)

Wouldn't it be better to put the pre- and post-series fic together in one thread, each with their own post(s)? I get why you have them separate as it looks nice in chronological order but there are so many lists at the moment and most have a handful to a dozen posts reserved for the actual lists yet none have been filled yet. Just seems like a waste to me to give something their own thread when you can't even fill two posts to the max and still have a handful of empty (reserved) posts left that will never ever get filled unless people will still be writing S/J fic and mentioning it in said thread in a hundred years from now.

I think this is a good idea because I know there are plenty of people who dislike (in varying degrees) them with kids . That way they will have their own place. Could be something like "S/J established kid free". Hm, that might sound a bit strange but I think something like that would appeal to the folks who prefer that sort of fic.

There isn't one started. I haven't started one yet, but I have been seriously considering it. The people on the John/Elizabeth ship thread, they seem to be less willing to get interested in something like that. I want to start it!

I don't really know. There seems to be a decent portion of them that read/write fanfic. When I proposed Valenship, they were under the impression that it should remain an S/J only holiday!
