Wep 5 is fantastic! TOTALLY loving Amanda as Helen. She has such a wonderfully quirky, snarky attitude. But, she still conveys great seriousness.

It might come as a surprise, but being a Sam/Jack fan isn't compulsary. There are a lot of Sam fans out there who aren't.
We like Sam for who she is, not what 'ship' she is in.

I don't know if I'm interrupting anything. But I asked about Sam eps to watch. I want to send out a thank you to everyone who pmed me the info, it was much appreciated and I thank you for that. I'll send out greens of appreiation when I check my pm box.

I want to say I loved Sam in Grace. It has a blatant shippiness to it, and I'm not a fan of S/J, but I will say though that the energy was fantastic and the semi-romanticy angst moments didn't take away from such a fantastic ep. The balance was great although I do feel I need to watch all of SG1. For a minute there I was lost during the conversations. "sub light thrust" I'm off to the science section to see what heck people were talking about in the episode. We don't have sub lights in SGA.

But AT's acting is exceptional. Sam is a really open and strong character. I could really connect to the character and the situation as it was presented and I loved that. I have to say SG1 has some great writing to it. Martin Wood did this right? Well done on his part. And I thank you ladies for recommending it to me, I can see why you guys love the character and off I go to watch the other 150 eps of her greatness.

I also can't wait for her presence. I'm off to watch Death Knell as we speak so again thanks for the recommendations. I'll come and give some love from time to time.

And in regards to the Grace and GuP eps...definitely a similarity going on...and I would assume that that was deliberate too...2 great eps IMHO!!

as is foothold and deadman switch and even hathor...sam saving the day with a little whumpage thrown in

even though prophecy is techniclly a jonas eps, i like the sam parts and the sam/jonas interaction. metamorphosis is also good for whumpage

I like Seth...and Crystal Skull...and Fail Safe...and Desperate Measures...oh heck...every ep with Amanda is brilliant...whump or not...of course I do enjoy the whumpy ones a lot

Hey, Sam did get whumped quite a bit in S6... I don't think I realized that before now.

I thought I heard somewhere that season 7 was whumpier for Sam...of course I could be hearing things...again!!

Hey Everyone,

We did give it a good ending for sure So it is just hurting her so we can comfort her again... So in the end that is good right No need for a body guard...

I think the issue is, a story with no whump, isn't a story at all I mean you need a story where you hero or main character is in some kind of issue, or some kind of destress...and what a good way it is to get her in some kind of pain...or let her get whumped a bit So that she has to fight her way out, with a lot of character out of something... and then after that you see a strong character...your favourite character.


and why I like Sam whump, cause I really believe her. I cry with her, I feel her pain, she does it so convinsable(Sp?) She gives you the feeling that she really is in a lot of pain, and that she can't handle it anymore...

Oh I totally agree Eve, especially the bolded part, that's exactly why I like Sam Whump too, cause Amanda takes "us" to great emotional heights(sp?) the same with Angst and H/C they are great cause Amanda is able to make "us" believe!

i've read a LOT of smut (surprise ), so i'd recommend sue corkill. she writes explicit sex, but tinged with a beautful romantic gentleness.

that's IF amanda was ever going to read smut.

I finally got to see the 5th webisode...I love Ashley...but I so wish Helen was my mum...or at least my fave aunt...she so rocks...I thought this weeks webisode was great...I really think it's getting better as we go on...I'm just bummed that they haven't made anymore than 8...that means that I only have 3 more webisodes to watch...bugger!

Argh, I am 100% sure I couldn't read that, even if my life depended on it. I mean Amanda or any other actor for that matter, has a private life, and it is called private for a reason
And reading that in fanfic would be so wrong, I actually never stumbled across it, luckily
