Martinmas is like Shipmas, only longer and Martin (PTB) styled.
It's insanity poured in a Chrismassy jacket.

Basically, we celebrate with artwork and picspams (and if we're very lucky some Martin fic) over a period of twelve days so that everyone can just pop in and join the fun whenever they can We originally decided to do it that way because everyone is busy at that time of year and we didn't want anyone to miss out by pinning it down to one specific day, but really it's become an excuse to have a 12 day party
