    I am agreeing with FP and Lida. I am also waiting for a couple of episode before I make a decision on him.

      I might be in the minority but Im really excited about RD, especially after seeing the latest trailer. I had a good feeling about him when I read his bio and I liked the look of him from the episode photos but the trailer really did it for me. I think Jason Momoa will be a great addition to the cast

        So what does everyone think of BW RC comments about Dex in the new interview. So his purpose/niche on the team is to be intimidating and be able to back it up.
        Could be cool, although it might be alittle cliché, of course if hes actually is a bit more talkative than Teal'c that'll be fine (not a comment on Teal'c just that I want them to be different.)

          Teal'c was a highly trained and disciplined soldier, while Dex has been the hunted, and is highly unpredictable. I think we'll find them to be totally different characters.

            I quite agree. As for many using the the term "cliche"....aren't many of the characters cliches? McKay, the brilliant, self absorbed, somewhat cowardly scientist....with a hidden heart of gold....ok, maybe silver? Not going to name others, but you get the idea.

            For the umpteenth time, why don't we wait, just a little longer, and see what the writers, etc., have in store for the character of Dex? If he doesn't cut it, I'll be the first to admit it.

                After watching tonight's Sci-Fi special, it is obvious that Ronon is definitely not stupid. Apparently he was

                some sort of weapons specialist in his own military. . reminded me of a "Black Ops" type
                .

                He looks cool, he sounds cool, and I think he is really going to fit in.

                      Welcome back Wizzy and the people who are truly looking forward to seeing Jason in his new role, do KNOW his name is JASON MOMOA!

                      Miscellaneous info: Mr. Momoa, in addition to being an accomplished actor, is also an artist and writer. He moved to Australia in 2003, a move that inspired Jason to pursue and develop his interests as an artist.

                      So, all in all, we have an talented actor, an artist, a great son ( ), and one extremely good looking man. I know that the regulars to this thread and the Jason Momoa Thunk Thread, are looking forward to his debut as Ronan Dex, in the upcoming SGA episode The Runner!
