I don't think they're going to kill her off. Remember, Torri chose not to do it because she didn't think the episode would give the character and the fans closure, and killing the character permanently would certainly be one form of closure. Yeah, I suppose TPTB could've changed their minds about Weir's fate after Torri said no, but everything points to them wanting to drag this out for as long as possible, even after Torri turned it down.

But in any event... to hell with what TPTB call "canon". I still watch the show, but only to mock as a pale imitation of the REAL SGA of Seasons 1-3. What they now call "Stargate Atlantis" is nothing more than reality TV trying to masquerade as quality drama, using and abusing some of the same cast. Why else do you think I now call it "Survivor Atlantis"?

And Anuna, I love your Sparky manifesto! I keep thinking I should write my own personal canon/shipping manifesto just to keep it all straight in my head.

Listen, if they really go that way, think of it this way -- Elizabeth is so strong & powerful a presence that they had to go there. What does it say about Sparky then? They can stomp on us, kick us, kill one half of our pairing -- and we're still here cherishing & celebrating them. Just like our dynamic duo.

Something about that, and her personal strength made her my hero, because I needed – and sometimes still need – that kind of personal strength myself.

That's exactly why she became my hero. Before we "met" her, I was even more afraid of authority figures (or whom I saw as 'above' me) and of speaking for myself and others even when I should. She helped changed me. I still have a long way to go, but I wouldn't have moved on as much as I have if not for a couple very special people. Including her, even though she's fictional.

Unfortunately its too dark in the clip to get a good look at John's face as they realize Elizabeth is trying to get through to them.

I'm interested to see where they leave Elizabeth at the end of this episode because as far as I'm concerned, the real Elizabeth is still alive. We've never seen her body and all we have is a replicator's word that she is dead. After GITM you would think John would start to question what really happened. Of course that would require them to follow through and have John start to look for her which ain't gonna happen...

I just want this episode to air so we know already! Arghhhhhh!

And I'm here to stay no matter what they do. Sparky and Sparky fans are the best. Where's that pesky and impossible to kill poster?
