I need a sounding board. I have parts of the chapter written, but nothing in order. It's the chapter where we find out why Vic doesn't like opiate based drugs! The title of the chapter is "Singing on Board".
Hello, ladies, hi Carson
*drags someone in* don't be shy Corey, say hallo to my friends Corey: *hides in the shadows* only if I can have a drink
*gives him a disapproving look* No you can't, these are my friends, oh I really wish you were a little more of a gentleman as your twin brother.... Corey: *smiles* Dante is not a real vampire, if he cares about humans oher than to drink them dry...
You just don't have met those who are very friendly, but that's why I brought you here, people are just amazingly nice to each other here Corey: ok, ok, let's give this a try...hello friends of Poet
Once they get on the aircraft carrier, those that had been wounded and/or in captivity are taken to the sick bay. Captain Chapel examines Aisha, Auggie, and Vic. Aisha will be in the sick bay. Auggie has broken ribs, nothing really can be done beyond wrapping them. She's worried about the amount of pain Vic is in from her wound. So she decides to put Vic on opiate based painkiller, even though it says she has a reaction to it. But since it's a non fatal reaction, Chapel ignores it. Vic argues, but Chapel pulls rank on her. Auggie tries to help her, as he's seen what the reaction is. The doctor also ignores him. Chapel also pulls rank on Butler. Vic is put on painkillers and she goes to sleep quickly.
Vic's reaction is that she sings and that she talks a lot more freely. This time, she's singing songs from Phantom of the Opera, her senior year musical in which she had the female lead. Also, whilst she's under the influence, she makes several comments in Butler's direction that are very appreciative.
Worried for his cousin's health, Auggie talks Butler into going over Chapel's head to Captain Brock, the commander of the aircraft carrier. Butler does this, and Brock talks to his friend, Admiral Pierce who's the Surgeon General of the Navy. You can imagine what happens to Chapel when Pierce gets through with her. Vic is taken off the painkillers, and Auggie is there when she wakes up, and teases her slightly about the singing, but doesn't tell her what she said to Butler.
Meanwhile, there are also debriefings going on. Auggie overhears Butler's debrief, where he hears some things about his cousin, and the person debriefing him (Butler) says that he (Butler) has always kept work and play in separate boxes. Auggie hears Butler sigh after that.
The night before they make port in Naples, Vic has a *very* hot dream concerning her and Butler.
While they are in Naples before their plane leaves, the group gets some decent clothes for Aisha.
When they get to the plane, Butler gives Vic some medication to make her sleep on the plane ride back to DC. This will be the first time she's slept on a plane, ever.
The plane taking off will be where the chapter ends.

Spoiler:
Jeez Chapel likes to pull rank. Much prefer Butler's methods Hmm sounds like an eventful chapter, and quite a fun one at that...
