This show is just so beautiful. The lighting, the cinematography, the sound effects. Just little moments like the way knife hitting the ground in slow motion, the sound echoing. Gah.

God, yes. It's beautiful. The slow drip of red blood. I've printed out a screencap of that image cos I badly want to do fanart of it. Also love the way he lifts himself up almost in a press-up position, balanced between hands and feet. It's ridiculously sexy.

The other fab thing about this show being PG-16 and it being a series, not a movie, is that the fight scenes/whump is realistic. Like, he gets TIRED when fighting, he staggers and slumps over, he's getting hit, as well as hitting, and it shows. As it freaking should!

And the whump is a natural consequence of the fight scenes. So many shows/movies just gloss over the whump - the hero is shot or stabbed or beaten and they grimace a bit, shake it off, and carry on as normal. No. Matt is a completely human man (super senses aside) getting into knock down, drag out fights and that has consequences. He takes DAMAGE.
