I enjoyed this ep the first 2 times I saw it. But this time I didn't enjoy it quite as much.

It was good seeing Teal'c trying to live a normal life. I felt sorry for his new friends when he had to say good bye.

      My LiveJournal pos

      I've always loved this episode.
      "Thanks to denial, I'm immortal."
"A big 'Hello' to all intelligent life out there, and for everyone else, the secret is to bang the rocks together, guys!"
"Excuse me, barmaid? You seem to have brought me the wrong offspring. I ordered an extra large boy with beefy arms, extra guts and glory on the side. This here, this is a talking fishbone!"
"I'm Jack. It means... what's in the box?"

Loved this episode, especially the kata by Teal'c and the girl.

Yeah a young Erica Durance of Smallville...she looked very beautiful in this episode....and now she's appearing as the fiance of Mr Michael Shanks in "Saving Hope"...love it when some of my favourite actors from my favourite TV series keep coming together....as of course the both of them were in Smallville S.9 and 10 together too...

Am not enamoured of the storyline in this episode but I do like it for the "location spotting game" I always play....last April I went for a very long walk along the Seawall in Vancouver and ended up outside those apartments...it gives me a thrill to know I've stood where the Bridge film crew and actors have....

          Deeds xx

The mess up of SciFi really ruins this episode. The whole Trust angle is really murked up. I remember going how in Netu does Daniel know who these rogue NID people are? I know we can't blame the writers on that but it still makes the episode hard to follow. Although its not worse then the stupidity of Daniel actually responding to the e-mail about translating the Ancient symbols. Since they admitted they didn't committ the murder I have to wonder the stupidity of not reporting this to at least Jack. It shows a lot of doubt and suspicion on the possibility of Teal'c being a murderer. I like the part of Sam and Pete working together to investigate. I remember a GW poster mentioning the difference how the military and police differ in how the investigate and combat. That is what I liked about this episode in how Pete thinks differently then the military stragety mind of Sam due to different enviroments.

              Another ep of SG1...

              1. Is it me or to odd bits of Chris Judge come out in this ep...

              2. Telling the guy you're going to kill him...great way to blend in...

              3. Initially I'd assumed the other guy told Daniel about the Trust off screen...

              OK ep but not great.

I've seen this episode before and didn't like it the first time. Now I kind of like it. I liked that tealc got out of the base but didn't like that he had to return to the base. I liked seeing the actress that plays lois lane on smallville. She is all baby face in this episode. They grow up so fast.

If tealc had to return to base shouldn't everyone be forced to live on base. They must know were Jack, Sam, and Daniel live. Heck, they got to them all at least once in the past but they still live off base. Why is Tealc speciall?

Of all the one time actors only lois lane was well acted or directed. Everyone else was riding the cheese train. Still like the episode. I'm a sucker for tealc episodes.

For me, this episode rembered me how much are a pain in the ass the rogue NID. Liked how Teal'c impressed everyone there with his skills, and about Pete..hmm, i should mention that i am a Jack/Sam shipper so go figure my opinion, still i appreciated his help. My big surprise was to se the rogue NID not killing Daniel and Krista where they stand, they simply zatted them.(can't complain about that)

Because Teal'c drew attention to himself on the "outside" and even got himself in trouble with his neighbor. It's been a while since I watched this episode (hate it) but wasn't Krista the one who killed the aggressive (ex?)boyfriend? And she used a move Teal'c taught her, IIRC. So, obviously TPTB couldn't trust Teal'c to keep his nose clean and stop interfering with other people's lives and teaching them deadly moves. He is simply a security risk to them.
                    Unmade Plans (WIP: 11/20):
Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.

Good point. I guess the others just watch when people are attacked to keep a low profile.

I liked this as we got to see Teal'c's life outside of Stargate, plus the development of Carter's relationship.

I also thought Erica Durance gave a great performance.

Plus as he lacks many human mannerisms, he would be a bigger leak threat.

Okay, since I'm showing up to the party over ten years late and have no intention of reading 25 pages of comments before I post I'm sure all of this has been said many, many times already. Oh well, chance are noboby's ever going to read this anyways so here goes.
A lot of things about this ep bugged me. I loved the idea of Teal'c trying to live off base but the plot w/the neighbor was trite and predictable. Really got tired of Miss Krista's exposed abdomen and didn't care for the soft-core porn posing as a training montage. Although I can see how her predicament triggered T's protective instincts, the hopping in bed seemed a bit OOC. Not against the big guy getting some, but all things considered the whole situation seemed a bit inherently exploitative even though she initiated. Just doesn't quite fit with the whole honor thing that's supposedly such a core part of the character. Mabye I'm supposed to think he was just offering comfort in the most basic possible way but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, Teal'c, buddy, if you think you were being followed last night maybe look through the peephole in the door before opening it. Just sayin'
Other stuff I had issues with - Carter's convo w/Pete in the park made me want to throw things at my laptop. Someone w/her rank and experience openly talking about anything related to'Area 52' in a crowded public place was completely absurd and made the character look not just incomptent but like a flat-out liability. Kinda like making out in the warehouse - unbelievably unprofessional.
Not digging on that relationship overall. Haven't forgiven him for his actions in Chimera, not just the stalkeresque stuff but jeopardizing the stakeout, which was also incredibly unprofessional. But now he suddenly is picking up vital clues (like the poor staging of the body) that other cops can't see. Sam's just coming across as weak and wishy-washy to me. Hated the scene between her and O'Neill in the lab. I hoped 'Grace' was going to provide some closure to the whole unrequited thing between them but it just keeps being brought up. Not trying to bait shippers or anything (lurked long enough to know that's suicide ) but I personally don't like the way it's being handled. I don't want SuperSam, I like seeing the human side to the characters, but it's getting repetitive and seems kinda one-sided at this point as it's always Sam bringing it up. Just my opinion. To be fair, I don't know if RDA's acting is a factor here. I love the guy, love the character but the as the show goes on he does seem to be phoning it in sometimes. Again, just my opinion.
The new bad guys could be interesting, could be just more of the same, will have to wait and see. Liked the coffee cup shot

Forgot something about the Krista plot that a friend pointed out years ago. The fact that she accidentally killed the abusive b.f. can be interpreted in a pretty reactionary, anti-feminist way, namely something along the lines of how it's a bad idea to trust a woman with any sort of power as she'll ultimately prove incapable of handling it appropriately. Thought that was an interesting if disturbing way of framing it.
Right. That's it. Off to the grocery store to pick up some of these weaponized avocados I've been hearing so much about lately.
