I love the smirks on their faces in Continuum, I could watch that movie all the time except for the parts of watching Daniel getting the bad frostbite and the death scenes!

Hehe, I watched it just the other night. My fiance has been watching Stargate SG-1 all the way through for the first time, and we got both the movies done in the same evening! All done with it now, or so I thought... He's well and truly been reeled in to the show - he's already talked about finding the original movie to see how it all began, and rewatching some of his favourite eps (like WoO) I'm waiting to see if he'll want to get into Atlantis and/or Universe as well yet.

Along the way he's made me smile with a few comments re: Sam/Jack. Whilst watching season 7, for example, he was a bit puzzled as to Pete's addition to the show, so I told him he's just a minor hinderance for now lol. I didn't want to give too much away if he didn't explicitly ask for info.

When Pete asked Sam to marry him, and she took 2 weeks to answer, my fiance came out with "Please, if you take two weeks to decide, the answer is clearly 'no'." He was shocked when Sam said yes to the proposal at the end of the ep, and immediately turned to me and said, "So how and when do Sam and Jack end up getting married?" - I just had to laugh, and my shippy heart skipped a beat! Bless him, he just assumed they'd eventually get together, marriage and all

My mom is starting to get interested in the series and I gave her full overviews of the episodes and she watches my reactions to the stars especially Daniel and agrees that Jack and Sam do make a cute couple

Yep, you're right. I used to hate constructive criticism, but now it actually helps. I'll do some thinking tomorrow and see what I come up with.

I do love Janet, I hated seeing her killed, I just watched Heroes Part 2 and I really ached for Daniel when he is at the service, I just wanted to cradle him and hug him because he was going to miss her terribly!

Sam was fortunate to have her for a best friend, I would love to have a Janet in my real life!

I love Janet too, just sayin' she's got issues with Sam's feelings for Jack on a professional level. However I agree with Fems and sparky, Janet would have given her a gentle reminder that you shouldn't marry someone just because you can't have the one you want.

As a side note the song "Love the One You're With" by Will Young just randomly popped into my head lol! They main lyrics are "if you can't be with the one you love, honey, love the one you're with"! I wholeheartedly think Janet would disagree with that idea, especially given her ex's condescending behaviour/Pete's disrespectful behaviour in Chimera/Affinity - sorry just doesn't cut it for that kinda cr*p!

Question, Jack obviously is close to Daniel and Teal'c and Sam is close to Janet but why do you think Janet didn't have any other close friends besides Daniel and Sam?

I write for a newsletter locally at the minute. I think part of the reason I disliked it at first was one of my teachers in the past. She just made you feel rubbish, not construction involved. I've got over her now, though. Picked up some tips, etc... I'm mind mapping events and/or ideas for my fic now. Make use of the notebook I got earlier this year.
