Sam Carter/Amanda Tapping Discussion/Appreciation

Perhaps someone could start compiling a list of good questions for those of going to AT2 to printout? It's not too far away and many of us'll be leaving here before that weekend. (LOL! ForeverSg1's post made me count... got her beat by a few days... Will be leaving in 15 days! and again!) But anyhoo... while we still have access to printers, might be good to get a nice list going.
*raises hand* Just got the opportunity to purchase a ticket to the party last weekend after someone had to cancel. I'm truly sorry someone wasn't able to make it, because I know from when they had to have bought the tickets last year, they'd been anticipating and looking forward to it for a long time. (But I am getting excited now! )

I was reminiscing a lot last night and this morning because this is the exact day a year ago that I flew over for GABIT1 and those memories of the weekend and Amanda and new Samanda friends are still so vivid! It's really quite a one-of-a-kind experience. You'll see!

My question is still focused on the S/J shippy arc. Has Amanda (and RDA) now softened on their early position of "absolutely can't happen because of the regs" to a S10 resolution where they are together? Er, poor sentence construction but you get my drift. If anyone doesn't have a questions prepared, please consider asking mine. Thanks.

I always enjoyed the Lost City commentary where AT gets all excited and makes a point of saying "look, she calls him 'Jack'" at very end of episode as Sam goes over and places her hand on the icy glass. To me, she seemed to be caught up in the whole shippy dynamic in a positive way. Maybe I was reading too much into it. Ya think?!

I'd love to have her stop in, but she'd get bombarded w/ questions and it wouldn't be fun for her. And as you say, it would disrupt the kingdom. We could always sic the Royal Security force on the interlopers...

It would be nice to think that she lurks as a "guest" in Samanda periodically, though and can see how much we appreciate her. I think even when some of us question things the character has done, we know it's the writers, not AT that's responsible. AT can do wonders with what she's given to work with.

I have reason to believe that she did in the past but my lips are sealed. And, yes, discreetly and anonymously would be the way to go.

I've been super busy the last few weeks and have just found some time to catch up with the thread and some recent vids.

I have been thinking about Sam Carter while away though ... and writing some original Stargate scripts of my own.

This is a three-parter sequence; start at the top. You'll need high-speed and speakers for best results. I haven't had access to S10 but do hope that this season is more fun and a happier blending of old and new cast members. In the meantime, this was my take on S9 ...
