Hmm, I'm not sure if he sniffed her hair in season 3, but I would lay money down that he sniffed her in the elevator scene of Affinity( Oops brainflub, I meant Chimera).

Going back a few pages to our talk about Into the Fire does anyone know why Daniel acted so...I don't know...strange in that episode? I mean the close ups on his expressions were kind of odd

You mean that 1000-yard stare?? Gave me the heebies-jeebies. I found myself distracted by it, and resorted to snapping my fingers at him (thru the teevee... yes, I know).

...and he was definitely checking her out in Into the Fire. I seem to recall reading an interview with RDA where he said he suggested to Brad Wright that Jack would definitely notice Sam wasn't clothed in the scene when he rescues her and BW told him to go with it. Which is why I really believe a lot of the Sam & Jack shippiness in the earlier seasons was really just RDA and AT having a good time with the characters.
