Yes...... tbh, the kitchen wall is a bit of an 'acid test'. People bring their children to me if they want them to have fun with someone who understands the importance of fantasy and make-believe. Someone who can balance between steering them cheerfully into good behavioural patterns whilst at the same time keeping them safe and making them feel loved.

So if new people look at my wall and think 'OMG! She's a total fruitcake, I need someone more serious for my kids' then obviously they need to look elsewhere

Case in point - the mum of one of my little ones is a NKOTB fan. She twitters with Donny until 2am And she says I'm the only one she can talk to because nobody else understands fandom

Ah, you only have to wait until tonight to find out

If you say it like that it makes sense...if people would come in here they would think it's a weird house. In one way it's really tidy and in another it's a total mess(my oldest brother doesn't know/understand the word cleaning...he only knows making a mess...)

But the whole fandom thing is good then...in a way...I'm curious what the parents will say about it!

That's what I have to aim for. Not too much mess, but enough so that people won't think their kids won't be allowed to make a mess, if you see what I mean
