Sorry about the bad news Jumble. Hope it all goes great today!

I've been thinking of letting my hair grow out - not long - the color grow out or shall I say lack of color. Probably about 50%+ white or gray (probably more). I am 66 (67 next time I see you in UK) and it would be a lot easier if I didn't have to color it any more. Everytime I do that I also have to go to the hairdresser and have her streak it as well. So much white it cause the top to be very light and only one shade. Opinions???

I say, do what you feel comfortable with. I guess it depends on what shade of grey/white you have - I know a lot of 'older' ladies that look absolutely gorgeous with their hair undyed I'm not ready to let mine grow out yet - most of it is still my natural red, it's just the top that goes lighter and needs help when the sun bleaches it out
