Hello WooHoos! I'm finally on my computer so I can finish my advents I thought I'd post here, too!

Work whinge behind the spoilers

Yesterday was a good day until work dropped a nasty surprise on me - working until midnight on Christmas week. That in itself is pretty bad since I'm not supposed to work until then, and walking home at that time of night? not appealing. But the part that upset me was that they wanted me to work alone - there's supposed to be two people on at all times. Thankfully, that now won't happen. I have to stay until midnight, but not by myself! Though, to be honest, I would've simply refused to work since it's not in my contract and so, I just wouldn't have done it. It's not safe

Besides that, I'm fine. Been coughing still from that cold I had a few weeks ago, but, it's refusing to leave me so what can you do? D'oh.

Ok, so you know how Laurie has been teasing me for months about the 'surprise' she'd been planning for me? Obviously, I've been trying to figure out/guess at what it could be so I asked her last week if Martin knew about it/had anything to do with it, and she said 'No', which made me wonder even more what it could possibly be

[spoiler]You may also remember that earlier this year I bought one of Martin's chairbacks from Propworx on ebay, but it got sent to the wrong address and couldn't be retrieved - broke my heart

Martinmas 2011

Do you enjoy Theme Parties?

We do!

Martinmas 2011 will have... you guessed it... a theme! A Colour Theme!


It's just an addition to the festivities, so you decide what you'll do with it. Feel free to go with your own artsy farts if you want to, but here's what we oh so brilliantly came up with:

Every day will have a colour (or color) theme. you can base artwork on it, write what it unleashes within you (keep it PG!) or wear pants in said colour while posting. You can do anything you want. See a red door? Paint it black on Day 3!

We have randomly assigned colours to the days and here's what we came up with:

1. Purple
2. Orange
3. Black
4. Green
5. Blue
6. Yellow
7. Pink
8. Pastels
9. White
10. Brown
11. Red
12. Multi Coloured!

Hope you'll join in, even if you do dislike theme parties.
(I opted for ''Martinmas Under the Sea'', so this isn't *too* bad, right? )

Sorry about the not too great stuff about work.

The heat is not working in my classroom this week. Wouldn't be so bad, except for the fact that it was only 22F this morning! We are having quite a cold snap. So I've basically been freezing all week. I get home, change into warm-ups real quick, and hop under the covers.
