    McKay - Last supper, huh?

    McKay - ...True.

    McKay - I drink beer?
    Sheppard - Yeah, lots.

The pier scene, I love when Rodney calls Sheppard "Arthur".
I think this was my favorite scene too. It really made me giggle. And it showed what good friends the two have become over five years. There were too few scenes like this over the years.

I know it's been said before, but it's still one of the best:

McKAY: My name. My name ... is Mister Rodney McKay.

      KELLER: No.

      McKAY: Yes.

KELLER: C'mon, now. You're Doctor McKay, remember?

McKAY: No. I'm ... I'm not any more. I'm not s-sm-smart any more. Doctors are smart, so I'm ... Mister now.

That whole exchange just about broke my heart.

Tropic Thunder ruined the episode for me... That entire conversation made me think of "Simple Jack"...

        DAMN YOU STILLER!!!

This episode was full of great lines! One of the ones that hasn't been mentioned:

Rodney: I don't know, I think I got wetter than you did.
Shep: I, I don't know; I got a little damp dialing the DHD.

            Also:

Woolsey: I think you've just made a case for my proposal to send a MALP ahead of every single transit.
Shep: Stuff happens, Woolsey; and by "stuff" I mean-
Woolsey: I know what you mean, thank you.

A brilliant way to circumvent the language filter and tell us how distressed Shep was.

I agree. And it was damn strong for the opening scene. I just kept staring on the screen and didn´t believe my eyes...and ears. It was heartbreaking.

Ronon: We brought you here so you could die with dignity...

                  Teyla: And honor

                  Rodney: Yeah, well screw that!!

I'm with Rodney. Forget the honor, dignity and especially the dying part!!

McKAY: Thank you, Mr Information! Look, since when did he become Ronon the Explainer? And why am I not in the Infirmary, huh? What, am I better?

Am I missing something here? I thought that when he called John "Arthur", he was just being funny by pretending he'd already forgotten John's name. But the way they laughed at it, and the way everyone here (and on Live Journal) is snickering at it, makes me think that there's an in-joke here that I'm not getting.

Was "You're a good friend, Arthur" a reference to another episode? some sci-fi book or movie? what?

Please let me in on the joke!

Arthur = Arthur Dent, lead character of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, something both John and Rodney are fans of.

Has it come up in a previous episode before that they were both fans of a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
