as long as there is good stories and good characters i don't mind

i think my problem with dr who is its a bit too much like atlantis

the constantly revolving characters does my head it.. its kind of hard to get attached

Admittedly 2 Doctor's and 5 companions in 3 years is unusual but constantly revolving characters makes it less likely get stale and seeing a character return is a nice surprise, like Novice Hame, Cassandra

Hey Parisindy, I completely agree with Reefgirl on Torchwood. I randomly started watching it because I was a little bored and my friends couldn't shut up about it. I was hooked from the first second, and sweet Ianto did help a lot too.

And another fave character (well not really) is the Torchwood-car. I love it. Me wants it.

Never watched Dr. Who so can't say much about that.

I didn't find stargate atlantis or the 1st season of dr who stale...

I like watching the same characters every week and i like watching them evolve, they can't evolve if they aren't there.

i do not like constant cast changes that will very quickly drive me away from a show. Most often i will watch a show only for one character i like, and if they go there is no reason for me to keep watching it. Atlantis was different it was the first time i loved all the characters in a show. Sadly that is no longer true.

Now with Paul and Torri gone, and Sam, Keller and Ellis coming in i will not watch it and i can not support it.

as for torchwood, we'll see .. we will get season 1 in about a month
i still not seeing anything that grabs my attention. I didn't really like jack all that much when he was in Dr who... he was just okay. I didn't hate him, just didn't love him like the rest of the world

i am also not a joss whedon fan, i don't like buffy, angel or firefly at all.

i guess i'm a bit picky, i like what i like... i adore supernatural

Actually I must recommend Torchwood too. It's interesting to say the least. Actually I started looking around for what it was, after I saw one of the gateworld poster's signature. I didn't even know what Torchwood was, and I watch Dr.Who.
