Me, I just had an In-N-Out cheeseburger. Mustard fried with grilled onions. Gotta love the Secret Menu. Carnivores unite!
Ah Echoes. I love it so. A bit of ship for almost everybody. I used to say that was my fave of the series, until Vegas. Echoes clearly shows the friendships of all the characters too. Radek and Ronon camping? The boys hanging out. The girls acting like they were friends. Elizabeth and John exchanging knowing glances while Rodney babbles. Rodney all playful. Spanky. And John doing his Richard Gere impression. Good times.

They mention that in the commentary. Waring says "hey, that's just like An Officer and a Gentleman!" Only interesting part of the whole commentary.

Ah, that's our John Sheppard. An officer, and a gentleman. Lizzeh's officer and gentleman, that is.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Lately everything I watch, I think about inserting John/Elizabeth in. This weekend it was Farscape's "John Quixote" and Voyager's "Resolutions". Damn, would Joe and Torri have eaten up both those scenarios. Wish I was a writer. Someone wanna write that for me?

          Night shippers!
Even though I've actually watched Voyager, I had to look that up. That was back in the Jeri Taylor years, one of her Ode to Janeway eps. It was the one where Janeway & Chakotay go camping. Chakotay gives her a massage and she practically has an orgasm, then she tries to play with a monkey. Not Chakotay's. An actual monkey.

There have been volumes written on romantic imagery, which is quite different from overt romance. Think about movies that show a couple in situations with swelling violins and slowly revolving cameras and/or emotional moments between just the two of them. Now, in most of these movies, the couple ends up together in the end, but since the writers who created SGA were not very competent in showing, not telling, we got no happy ending. However, romantic situations can be found. These are moments that make the average female go "ahhhhhhh". Hope that helps.
I think that scene should have been romantic, but as you've illustrated below, the one prior (where he keeps looking at her) is probably moreso. I don't think they meant it to be, hence why I struggle with finding five scenes *shrug*

I probably would never have thought of #18, but it was surprisingly romantic for Rodney.

Elizabeth, we're not ready yet, what are you doing here?

I'm not really sure. Ronon mentioned something about you having a big tool that I needed to inspect

            Oh gateraid, I've missed you.

Each time she held her hand out to the monkey (the actual monkey) I kept thinking "stupid woman, put food in your hand!"

As long as he didn't mention monkeys. He was watching Voyager the other night. Suggested I build you a bathtub.

Probably better she didn't get infected with another disease - Jeri Taylor must not have seen Outbreak

*raises hand* By most dramatic are you meaning an bam! instant dramatic moment (eg a reveal of something) or more like a longer emotional scene (say, a goodbye to someone or something)? I have a list right now, but it has some from column A, and some from column B

Was watching SG-1's episode 2010 last night and I was wondering what John and Elizabeth were upto? Did Atlantis even exist in that timeline?

Hey, that's one of the non-Vala SG-1 episodes I've actually seen! Ummm, I'll say they were kicking ass out in Atlantis and then had a lot of sex to help the population increase.

yeah well, if atlantis did exist, i wonder what Sheppard and Weir thought of the aschen, their "Saviors". i am personally glad that is one timeline in the SGU that we avoided. it sounded like a dark one.
