Since it was always their plan to bring him back. The moment they killed him, they realized they'd made a mistake by doing so.


Because they had no plan to bring her back. Elizabeth was kicked to the curb by Mallozzi and Mullie, while Carson was kicked out under the reign of the other set Wright & Cooper.

Damn straight they made a mistake killing off Carson! *stomps foot* If they'd wanted to rip out the hearts of the fans, the Atlantis actors and the Atlantis characters as well, then they did a fine job of doing that. *facepalm* TPTW drive me frakkin' insane!

As to Liz...that may be...but at least her disappearance or death or whichever it was kinda wasn't final when it happened. There was room for them to keep searching for her, a shred of hope that they might find her. And plans in S6 to bring her back if TPTW hadn't shot the franchise in the foot. *headdesk*

But Carson's end was very final. Boom. Explosion and no more Carson. And the funeral scene. Granted, he did come back as a clone later, but his original death was still very unsatisfying. I could deal if it had made sense, but exploding tumor wtf now? *head shake*

While this is true, it was just wishful thinking on Carl Binder's part. The writers had lots of ideas that never happened.

This would have been a lovely idea, but ultimately she would still have been gone from the show and never never never would have been shipped with John. It was just not in their plan.

I think the angsty ending we got with the lovely show of emotion from John at losing her and his obvious grief for her in the last two seasons was the best that we could have hoped for. Even that they tried to stop, but thanks to Joe Flanigan, John's emotions were very real.

But if you're hoping for a good ending from those Legacy writers, you will be sadly disappointed.

But the irony of things is that although dear Carson had a final end because of that explosion in “Sunday”, while Elizabeth didn’t have a final “ending/death”, Carson ended up being the one to be there at the final scene of the series and not Elizabeth.
