    Awesome AU Sparky fic!

*posts this to draw attention away from her own numerous unfinished stories*

Testament, by our very own Eri13 (aka ugahill). LOTS of whumpage. And John getting very, very angry. Always an explosive combination.

Slide Into the Night by Dragon's Daughter 1980/hope_tang. Elizabeth is rescued from the Replicators in an AU ending to Be All My Sins Remember'd, but that's only the beginning of the struggle to bring Elizabeth home. More emotional whump than physical.

Tangled Headwires, by Pooh. Cave-ins, concussions, and Ancient devices gone haywire.
      Ah! thanks for rec SK

You're welcome anytime. Curse that FSN last night they aired pirates game, pfft! Anyway I was hoping to catch the Pens vs Hawks game, it turns out that Pens made another win which makes big 4-0! Mwahaha!

I'm so excited for you! Can't wait to see pictures and hear about it!

        What is your full itinerary?

There is tons of speculation, none of which is our place to muse on here. Overall, we know that all four showrunners for SG made the decision jointly, and that's probably the best place to leave it.

Oooo, Testament got a rec? yeah, I guess that was some Weir whumpage, wasn't it?
Eri13 Yes I read that fic of yours recently back in July or August, that was awesome! I was wondered is there gonna be sequel to "Testament" fic?

SR, Yes I agree with you that they made big mistake after getting rid of Torri, I was like not cool! However, I felt that lots of stories on SGA are not finished to tell the adventures of Atlantis expedition crew including our Sparky couple. It was cool to see Torri did her two episodes on NCIS, It feels different from her roles on SGA and NCIS, beside I did got to see her recent sci-fi movie on SyFy channel, at end of July, that movie is so very X-Files like.

Secretly, I think it was the only way to stop the Sparky train. And even that didn't work. LOL

And here's the loooong reason for my medical research:

Of Detectives and Doctors Ch 4 is up!

Any medical terminology is from WebMD so I was tryin my best to make it seem right ... If not, keep in mind, it's AU. Anything can happen.

You know, going back to SGU for a second. After watching the Season 2 Premiere, I've started to realize that that constantly feeling of being conflicted isn't going away. It seems to be a permanent feature of my watching of Stargate these days. From SGA Seson 4 to now, there's always some thing or other that causes me to be happy and something to be unhappy about the franchise. It's starting to get a little frustrating.

I imagine that SGU will probably improve next season (in fact I kind of got the impression that one of the trailers was almost trying to explicitly come right out and say that ) because they seem to be going into some manner of overarching plot.

But getting back to my original point, once again there are a few areas that are an improvement over what they did in SGA or SG-1 but I'm still annoyed that they canceled Stargate Atlantis for this, and that makes it hard to enjoy something even if I might be interested in it. And at the same time there's a lot that I'm really not looking forward to sitting through.

I think I also might have been affected from watching LOST more than I initially thought because I'm a little terrified they'll try to replicate the success of that show by going the route of endlessly being insufferably confusing to generate intrigue. I know SGU is a looong way from being LOST, but there are a couple of similar things about the show that I've picked up on, and it could get frustrating even without taking it to the extreme levels.

Sigh, I'll just go back to skipping through various episodes on my SGA DVDs. That usually calms me down. It also usually inspires me to write more. It's actually really gratifying to have the entire show on my shelf.

For those of us in the US, today's SGA rerun on SyFy is Season 2's Epiphany. Ancient hippies! Elizabeth finally gets off world and gets to use her mad linguistic skillz! John gets whumped by an invisible monster! All coming in 15 minutes!

Haven't watched it yet, though I suppose I ought to, at least for research purposes. I do see the parallels with LOST's penchant for confusion, and like you, I do get the impression that it would've been better had they simply cleaned up their act with SGA and brought it to a proper conclusion instead of trying to start over with SGU.
                  Spoiler:
Plus, I keep thinking the 'blueberry' aliens could've been a helluva lot more fun on SGA.

I wish MGM would suck it up and release the complete series on Blu-Ray. It was filmed entirely in HD, so it wouldn't need any remastering like SG-1 would. But noooo...

Oh darn it! If the stupid cable company hadn't accidentally cut off my cable, I would watch it with y'all! But no such luck, and I've gotta be somewhere @ 7pm, so no way can find it on web and watch. *pouts*

*wipes sweat off forehead* Whoo! I had a hard time writing this one!

And don't forget the Thai food. Food is a very big character in my stories. Cake, Jello, Chinese, Thai ... what's in store next?!?!
