Yea! I didn't go to bed until about 1:30..I came on after the second airing and no one was on...but I did get to SQUEEEE with everyone at 11...

I watching it again..This was really a great epi..not just because of the shipping..but overall the characters were strong individuals and they all stood out for thier ownself!

great episode I think, and both of the boys on top form. I was kind of worried they would have R and R bickering and being all combative but they were so nice and genuinely worried for jennifer that i wish she could choose both of them...!

The Wraiths all look a little younger than norm, so maybe (someone mentioned this a long time ago) Maybe runners are used for training..Wraith's really don't need have any combat skills..they have the stunners and heal themselves..yea, I'm going with the young and need training..thats why they didn't try and dodge McKay's bullets and being young they aren't as good or fast at self healing like say a Todd

I see you've been doing happy dances for a while now. It have taken me some time to catch up in every thread, - obviously I had to express myself in the McKeller thread first - but here I go now.

I absolutly loved it and I think it was good for both camps of shippers.

We had our moments as well as you've got your offical confirmation from Ronon. They really handled the triangle thing well. And we are down to Keller's deceison now, which is good.

i went and peeked at THAT other thread and they and not squeing or doing much. One is even worried that they are doomed.

Anyways, character development then and now regarding Tracker.

Ronon

Spoiler:

This episode was very much like a then and now of Ronon. Compare Ronon in Runner to Kiryk of Tracker. Both are very similar. Neither are willing to ask for help because of horrific things happening - to others - due to their ordeal with the wraith.

There was putting what he'd rather do behind what needs to be done. He helped escort the villagers to the caves before the very real need to go find Jenn.

There was a lot of good friendship moments between Ronon and Rodney. I thought so anyway. He responded to Rodney's warning of wraith (at the beginning near the gate) and came to aid his friend. Rodney maybe probably could have handled it. Don't know. He is becoming a more capable soldier. I was impressed by the respect he offered Rodney at the end when they threw down their gauntlets - so to speak.

Loved seeing him get all gooshy over Salis. That was precious. I get really tired of people painting him in the corner of who he was in Runner. Yes, he is a runner. In some ways he always will be. But he is also a Satedan soldier, a poet, painter, and singer. I don't think that seven years of running stamped that out of him. And if they did, that is truly a tragedy. Because, ultimately, in a way the wraith won then. I do think it took a while to gain that part of him back, but it's there. And as much as my shippy heart wants to say it's because of Jenn, who knows.

Jenn

Loved how strong she was in this episode. There was none of a voice that can be perceived as tremulous. She was gracious in the beginning when her trip with Ronon to the planet got crowded in on. (My interpretation) She asked questions she had a right to know and showed a minimal amount of fear. She took an opportunity to try to escape. Maybe not the best timed, but I suspect that was to clue the viewer in on Kiryk's transporter. She trooped along with Kiryk and tried to convince him that there was alternatives. The whole while doing this, (after it was found out she couldn't surgically remove the tracker) she was working on alternate solutions. She recognized the inherant goodness of Kiryk - or maybe at that point she realized Kiryk needed her alive - and warned him that a wraith had a weapon pointed at him. Saved Kiryk. She managed to fix Salis' leg. She ran the wraith through! She carried Salis to safety, then drug Kiryk to the same point. She was very caring of what was going on with Kiryk and Salis. What a monumental feat! She convinced Ronon to stop the fight between him and Kiryk. Like I said earlier, who else has been able to do that aside from his team? She took up a couple of sticks and defended herself from/attacked a wraith with some competence. Not a pro, but not bad. Over all, great excellent wonderful for Jenn

Rodney

Spoiler:

He went with his strengths. He did his research. (the name of the medicine to impress Jenn, the planetary data because what ever goes right in Pegasus?, Got help when the fighting was overwhelming, has learned to shoot over the years, Used the gaget off the wraith to track Kiryk and therefore Jenn. Ronon didn't think of that. Realized that Ronon was also interested in Jenn. Rodney usually never notices anything. It becomes obvious here that his friendship with both Ronon and Jenn are important to him. In the big fight with the wraith toward the end, he shoots 1? 2? wraith. Sure, Jenn used the stick fighting thing, And presumably Rodney has had more training with them than in Vengence, but he knew his strength (fighting wise) was with the fire arm. He too showed Ronon a lot of respect in the end scene.

All three actors did wonderfully!

Great analysis with all three of them. It's spot on.

I have to agree I think it was the "other others" because no matter who she ends up with we will still be happy right (or is that just me) I mean of course I like her and Ronon but her and McKay wouldn't be the end of the world (but i will wonder about her taste in men )

didn't choose Ronon. Come on! It was soooooooo clear to see she likes Ronon and Ronon likes her. I wonder if Ronon will ask her about her intentions for McKay? I can see him asking her if he doesn't know her intentions are for him. But the way he acted with McKay makes me think he already knows that Jenn is with him. Watch the scene where she tells McKay she was taking sparring lessons from Ronon..she was beaming..she almost forgot they were out in the woods being hunted by Wraiths...cute scene.
