God, people I think I had one of the worst nights ever (spoilered for length and rambling...)

First I had another migraine, then took something against it and it was gone... and suddenly my left hand started to go numb (seemingly out of nowhere) so I freaked (yeah, I'm easily spooked with stuff like that) and called the emergency service (I already see people rolling their eyes...). They came, checked me, told me I was basically okay (the doc said that I shouldn't be worried... if the EEG came back clean, there's next to no possibility that there's something neurological wrong) but should see my GP today to get a referral to an ophthalmologist and gave me something to calm me down (if they hadn't I might have passed out because I was actually hyperventilating ).

I did and I could fall asleep around 5 a.m. but the left hand still feels funny and I still feel funny and... I just want everything to be normal again I'll go see my GP today (but I guess that'll be the last quarter I do this... I just saw that the doc from the emergency service is a GP as well and I felt better taken care off by him in the time he was here than with my usual GP who also cut consultation hours drastically anyway). God, I really don't want another night like this ever again

Do they at least know what causes the migraines?



I think I prefer groundhog (BTW, in German it's Murmeltier which is something like... errr... murmur animal or something )

They haven't a clue as to what is causing the migraines, unfortunately. What about yours, any triggers you know of?

OT Migraines

They just keep trying different drugs to stop them - not working yet - tried Imitrex (allergic), Darvocet (stopped working), Caffergot (too much caffeine), and Fioricet (works meh), wanted to change me to Topomax, but my sister had taken it and she said it gave her pins & needles/numbness in her feet and hands and I already have that problem in my fingers, so no thanks. They're such a pain!

NO idea. But I never went to the doctors about them before and just started having them examined a few weeks ago.

Well, I think I just got myself a new GP *sighs And I just have this feeling the next two months will become a marathon through a whole lot of practises...

Howdy - of Native American decent, but really the Irish DNA outweighed that, so pale as a ghost, but still kinda, sorts, really proud of the fact non the less (Not sure if that's 1 word or 3 ,so going with 3)

That's nothing: I'm 3 parts Westfalian and 1 part Rhinelander, which is a lethal combination I'm told. No particular outward features, but oh, the character traits: Stubborn to a fault, hidebound and thick, but also cunning and does well with animals; that's the Westfalian. Apparently, the 1 part Rhinelander is responsible for my crazyness. *happy sigh* I knew it wasn't my fault.

Amazon is my downfall...Ebay usually doesn't help me much, the interesting things are on Ebay.com (US) and shipping is horrendous.

Maybe Kavan doesn't have any new promo pics. Maybe he doesn't need them anymore. Does anyone know how actors/agents go about sort of applying for a role/being considered at all before any auditioning? Do they still send in pictures or is it vids now or maybe both? It can't all be "because I'm friends with Martin Wood", right?

I want to watch Road Not Taken but really dont want to break out my SG1 box set. Might wait till the end of the month - RNT is supposed to air on the local channel. (as is Outer Limits - Straight and Narrow)

Watched No Mans Land last nite- pretty good Lorne ep. Then watched the commentary version. They actually mentioned Kavan - again with the 'dry' comment. I cant believe they didnt mention him in the Doppleganger commentary after making him do the barefoot scene.. oh well...
