Farscape and SG-1 will always be my two favorite Science Fiction shows. However, I chose Farscape for this poll.

Deep Space Nine the best i've seen imo.
Lost 2nd, new BSG 3rd.Science Fiction is an existential metaphor; it allows us to tell stories about the human condition.
Isaac Asimov once said individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today, but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

This almost seems like an impossible question. I just decided to go with my favorite. I voted TNG, but maybe I ought to have chosen DS9. Those are probably my 2 favorites. I can never really separate those two shows overall quality in my mind. But DS9 was better at some things."First Weir, then Samantha Carter, and now, you! It's a pity you humans die or get reassigned so easily, or I might have a sense of satisfaction now!"
*You got the touch! You got the poweeeeer!*
"Arise, Woolseyus Prime."

You left off way too many for me to consider this poll - Quantum Leap, Sliders, Buck Rogers, TWILIGHT ZONE, Forever Knight, Dark Shadows, Highlander (not sure where the if the vampire shows fit in), quit thinking after that. Don't know if I would vote for any of those but they deserve as much consideration as the stuff you've got in the poll.
May I suggest you start over, get more input 1st and then make the poll.sigpic

I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't seen B5 and DS9 yet. However watching both these shows is one of my New Year resolutions, so if the poll is repeated in a year I may give a different answer..
For now I chose Farscape; its uniqueness must be appreciated and makes it stand out in this excellent company. As for SG-1, it will forever remain my favourite, most beloved show, however I can't honestly and objectively claim that it was the best sci-fi ever made.
