I'd just tell your friends to expect more disappointment. Hal's worn so many different power rings he could start a jewellery store so things will probably be changed to exclude a lot of his non Green Lantern stuff.sigpic

Theatrical Version of "Green Lantern" was simply the Studio's Cut... Director's Cut incoming? http://comicbookmovie.com/news/?a=40055
if this is true than i hope to god that they release the director's cut on DVD and i would look forward to seeing that version.Last edited by Lt.Colonel John Sheppard; 22 June 2011, 03:33 PM.

Ronald Greer is also a medic. Your argument is invalid.

I found myself liking Green Lantern more than Thor, but I'm still certain that 3D skewed my opinion of Thor (but too cheap to rewatch in 2D, unless bored).
I think Lantern has the potential to do something more than most comic book movies and that's actually show us the bigger universe. Most comic book movies tend to do the same. Lex Luthor after land is one example. An Osborne obsessed with Spiderman is another, Wolverine: The Movie 1, 2, 3, and Origins. I believe that Green Lantern has the opportunity to be much more of a comic book movie than the others. New worlds, crazy species, bizarre situations, while Batman tries to be more serious and realistic, Iron Man tries to be the same but with a more eccentric billionaire.

Originally posted by Lt.Colonel John Sheppard View Postwell i was looking online and apparently they were saying that what we saw in theaters was just the Studio cut and not Martin Campbell's version. so i'm hoping that when Green Lantern comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray that they release the director's cut with it. it would be interesting to see what they cut out.sigpic
