Gareth David LLloyd to star in a new film

    http://www.averybritishcoverup.com/

Gareth David-Lloyd who plays Torchwood???s Ianto Jones says: ???I am really excited about this new role. Its definitely one people won???t forget in a hurry! Its very different from any other part I have played of late. The script is very funny and it???s great to be working with such a talented crew. People have been extremely generous in giving their time and resource for nothing to make what I am sure will be a very entertaining film.???

Last Thursday when John Barrowman was on BBC 1 Chris Moyles Breakfast Show, JB hinted that this mini-series may be broadcasted on June/July 2009.

In some ways, it makes sense as there aren't any Doctor Who special episodes during the summer, but that goes against the supposedly Spring 2009 launch date for S3.

zuz, love that pic of Eve Myles and her eyes pic!

Torchwood - Children of Earth Airdate?

After months of speculation, the third series of the Doctor Who spin-off show, Torchwood, is to be broadcast on BBC1 in June.

The British Film Institute are hosting a preview of the first episode on Friday, 12th June at the National Film Theatre in London. This would suggest that Torchwood: Children of Earth will start broadcasting on 15th June. As previously announced by the BBC, the five-part series will be aired over five consecutive nights though it would appear that this format will not be observed when it is screened on BBC America.

As suspected I'm strictly forbidden from saying pretty much anything about Torchwood: Children Of Earth until.. ooh, I'm guessing, maybe the first week of June or so.

What I will say though is that you will absolutely be not disappointed - there's terror, there's conspiracy, there's humour, there's a bit of snogging and there's heaps of action. Enough now though. More soon - watch this space.

Torchwood Magazine has revealed some details for the three new Torchwood audio plays that have been commissioned by the BBC to air this year on BBC Radio 4.

                ASYLUM by ANITA SULLIVAN
The story of a troubled teen runaway called Freda, who is brought to the attention of Torchwood by PC Andy (played by Tom Price).

"The story of a teen runaway called Freda who is brought to the attention of Torchwood by PC Andy. As Gwen, Jack and Ianto investigate where this troubled girl has come from, Andy finds himself drawn closer than ever before into the world of Torchwood."

                GOLDEN AGE by JAMES GOSS
"A story with a twist" according to producer Kate McAll, 'Golden Age' is set in present day India and features a character called the Duchess.

"Torchwood go to India to investigate the disappearance of hundreds of people. The trail leads them to an old colonial club which seems strangely stuck in the past as does its young and beautiful owner, the Duchess."

THE DEAD LINE by PHIL FORD
"A series of mysterious phone calls lead Jack into danger, and result in 'a very emotional moment for Ianto'. Listen out for familiar voices!

The episodes are all 45 minutes long and will air as part of Radio 4's Afternoon Play slot from 2:15pm (in June???). They're set after "Lost Souls" and before "Children of Earth" - which airs a week or so after the radio series concludes.

I hope they will be again availble as free downloads like "Lost Souls". I loved that play
He's like fire, ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun.
He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and he can see the turn of the universe.
                    And he's wonderful.
