If Jensen will direct Weekend at Bobby's, maybe Dean won't be in this episode at all, or only very briefly. Since this is his first experience in this field - as far as I know - they may let him concentrate on the directing part, which is challenging enough without having to act as well.

I always understand that reasoning...but I still hope that isn't true! I know it's hard, but the episodes of SG-1 that Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping directed still had good Daniel and Sam parts. I don't want a Dean-free episode!
