I have to agree it was an awesome episode! Two Deans ooh boy that was *fans self* And seeing how Dean had changed so much in 5 years hurt. It just shows how when it comes down to it, he will go to a place he doesn't want to go. If the circumstance calls for it he'll abandon his own values for what's best. It's like the phone call at the beginning, he , but saw it for the best to stay apart. And then in the end to join back up because that's the best option after all.

But I have to disagree with you on the colt thing, Lucifer!Sam disappeared quickly and even during the talk, Dean wouldn't have been able to get the Colt. Lucifer would've stopped him, even if he was past!Dean. We would've just ended with two dead Deans.

i didn't mean while sam was still there! i know that'd never happen... besides, dean was too paralyzed with emotional pain to think of it... but i mean sam walks away, dean turns around and zach is just right there! if zach had waited even a minute longer, i bet it would dawn on dean to try to grab the colt since he was all alone with his dead self....

We don't know if this was really real - Zach could have created this future at all. Also this was the colt from 2014, I don't think that an solution like just taking the colt back into a time where it already exists would be possible.

being a firm whovian, there are a lot of things that happened that shouldn't have in this ep...

like the deans being able to touch each other with 2/3 of the universe imploding.... also future dean didn't remember this little side trip.... which means kripke played with time travel the same way SG-1 did... in other words, you can take something from a future time line into a past time line and it wouldn't effect the future time line, just make a new parallel world with a different future... it's a quantum paradox.... they did the same thing in Dragonball Z.... whenever adult Trunks came back to change the past so his future wouldn't happen, he'd change events and then go back to his timeline where nothing was changed, but a new future was created anyways....
