I look forward to Parkman's storyline. This should be quite interesting.

Question: I know Heroes hasn’t exactly been stellar for the past two years, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any fans who are dying to get whatever information they can about the new season! Give it another chance, man! —Michael K.
Ausiello: You don’t have to tell me that the show still has fans. If only because series creator Tim Kring recently did just that. In spite of creative wobbliness and ratings dips, “I’m not sure that our fate is in jeopardy,” he said. “People are watching our show in so many different ways on so many platforms. We’re among the [most] DVR’d shows on TV last season and we were NBC’s No. 1 drama last season in the key demos.”

Question: Wondering if this season of Heroes will be the last. Any insight? —Gail
Ausiello: Not just any but Tim Kring’s. He says that although the upcoming Redemption volume could serve as the show’s swan song, he doesn’t intend for it to. In fact, he adds that “we’ve never really posited an ending… [because] it’s never been one long serialized story. Each volume has a beginning, middle and end. So we try to wrap things up pretty neatly each time and string a cliffhanger over the break to reward the loyal viewers.”

        Casting News

One-time "Law & Order" prosecutor Elisabeth Rohm will be back on NBC in the fall, courtesy of a guest appearance on "Heroes." NBC confirms that she'll appear in the season's eighth episode, playing a character named Lauren Gilmore.

I really hope this coming season doesn't turn out to be Heroes' last season. Hopefully it wins back some viewers.

Not me that's for sure. I've decided to just keep my season one set and just pretend the other seasons didn't happen.

I'm perfectly content watching the awesome first season over and over again, then continue on with the joke that is the rest.

To much gaping plot holes and bad writing for me to waste an hour of my life on.

            R.I.P Heroes.

I will admit, Season 2 was a big letdown from Season 1. But I thought, overall, Season 3 was pretty good.

                        Heroes Crosses Over With Webseries

Heroes and Sprint have partnered for several webseries since the NBC series began, but the connection between the main series and webseries will grow closer this year.

Heroes' new season begins with the next volume, "Redemption", and the introduction of a carnival that is the home to several major new super-powered characters. Meanwhile, the next ten-part webseries, launching September 28th, will focus on that carnival, with three characters from the series also playing a part in the webseries.

In addition, a new character introduced in the webseries will then appear on Heroes this season – the daughter to carnival member Lydia (played by Dawn Olivieri). Like her mother, Lydia will have a power of her own.

Below is the full press release for the new webseries:

                          Heroes: Welcome to the Carnival

Season 4 of Heroes is welcoming viewers to the carnival in a big way. The new storyline for the series, "Redemption", introduces the Sullivan Brothers Carnival and some major new characters who will impact the lives of those we already know on the series.

On a scorching hot day last month, I visited the newly built carnival set for Heroes, which has been put together at Universal Studios. The very impressive set was quite immersive and large, with all the rides and attractions you'd find at a carnival – indeed, it seemed like they could begin selling tickets if they wished.

Question: Is this “Redemption” arc of Heroes going to last the whole season? Or will it be another half-season affair? —Danny

Ausiello: It’ll span the entire 19-episode season.
