I think they originally intended for Sinclair to be there 20 years later with Delenn (who is not actually shown in that ep, although you know it's her by the voice) but when they switched to Bruce JMS had to change the whole thing. Hence, the rhetorical gymnastics on the part of Zathras to explain why he was calling the person in the suit "the one": "You're the one who was, you're the one who is, and you're the one who will be." Uh huh. *wink*

And I've just lost anyone who is not a total B5 geek. Hey, the DVD's are still available.
It was a fortunate coincidence then as a trinity is very iconic.

^^^ Kinda sounds like seasons 9 and 10 of SG-1 to me. Thor, ya got Aspirin?

It’s pretty impressive how B5 even makes you care about guest characters as if you have known them for a long time.
GRAIL another great S1 ep. Good story with Jinxo and Auldace and of course Delenn and Lenier rule in this ep and Londo...with the feeder... that’s just hilarious.

And of course: No Boom? No boom today, boom tomorrow, theres always a boom tomorrow.

The funny thing is that JMS considers that one of his weakest efforts. He usually mentions that one when someone asks him if there are any bad B5 eps. But I don't mind it. David Warner is a great actor, and there is that one scene with Londo that just cracks me up. "You're not serious about one of those things being on this station." When he finds out that they're serious, he runs and hides! Classic.
        Shallow are the Ori!

Of there's a boom! Some damn perspective is needed!

            Ok,
Turns out they DO mention Valens name in S1.
Ironically in the ep BABYLON SQUARED. Delenn says it as part of her "summoned" speech when she first meets with the Grey Council

"Summoned, I come. In Valen's name I take the place which has been prepared for me. I am Grey. I stand between the Candle and the Star. We are Grey. We stand between the Darkness and the Light."

            EDIT:I think Zanthas is russian.
"You take Zanthas dies. You leave Zanthas dies. Either way it is bad for Zanthras."

Oh and Delenns speech! See nice speech makes me so happy to be a human. I like Delenn

              What a great season finally.
              President dead.
Londos fall begins. (although you could see the inklings of it in some ealier eps).
G'Kars redemption begins (although you could see the inklings of it in some ealier eps).
              Delenn change begins.
Shadows are actually seen for the first time. (not just the ships but the actual people)
Garabali starts to get more of an edge then he had before as someone he trust betrayed him.

Now you make me wish I'd gotten season 1!

I understand WB and AOL are planning on offering B5 for free download sometime this year. Just a couple of minutes of commercials attached to pay for it.

Loved the end of S1. All those apparently unconnected episodes suddenly going wham! in the audience's faces. Brilliant.

Funny. When I watched season 1 I remembered all the eps, although for some reason I thought some of those eps came in later seasons. I was impressed with every ep. Even the Mau Tai one wasnt as bad as I thought I remembered.

Now, I am watching season 2 and there are a couple of eps I completely dont remember at all. THE LONG DARK (the one with Dwight Shultz) and the one right after A SPIDER IN THE WEB... BTW the Free Mars lady in this ep is named Amanda Carter. I find that so funny that its distracting... but man I dont remember this ep at alll. It does have the first appearance of Zack Allen... and we find out that Tea is Garabali's third favorite thing in the universe.

Also noted in season 2 that they changed Na'toths. I had forgotten about that. I dont like the new one and am glad they bring back the original lady later in the series. On the DVDs, that commentary with Boxleitner, Claudia Christian and Jerry Doyle was hilarious. I highly recommend it to any who have not watched it.

EDIT: Ahhhh some season 2 goodness I remember. The many wives of Londo Molari... Delenn and her really bad hair day. G'kar and his disappearing Commander joke.... ahhh good times..

That commentary was funny, but I was getting irritated too. Every time Bruce would start talking, Jerry would interrupt him. Now I love Jerry, but I wanted to yell at him to shut up. But other than that, it was cool.

Jane Carr (one of Londo's wives, the one he keeps) was great. Wish they could have brought her back somehow (they didn't, did they?)

There was some very funny stuff in season 2.

Soul Mates! One of my favorite episodes! How about this little exchange:

                        Timov: You're late!
Londo: You know how it is...affairs of state.
Timov: State of inebriation I'll wager!

Or what about this exchange from the latter part of the episode:

G'Kar: If I were married to Londo Mollari, I'd be worried.
Mariel: G'Kar, if you were married to Londo Mollari, we'd all be worried.

                        LOL!!!
                        Shallow are the Ori!

Yeah, that was a bit annoying. I hate that whenever I am listening to any type of commentary or radio talk or whatever and someone is just about to say something and I kind of know where they are going and I want to hear it and boom they get interrupted and never get back to the point. Darn annoying.

Timov definitely ruled. Londo made the right choice. Too bad he didn't spend more time with her maybe her good sense would have saved him.... probably not.

I'm watching Coming of Shadows, and noticed that the Ranger who shows up to deliver the message from Sinclair also played the marshall who was escorting Kate in Lost. I'd recognize that chin anywhere.

Hey I'm watching coming of Shadows right now too.
G'Kar is ticked. Sinclare seems to have aged fast.
That emporer was cool. Londo and Refa stink. . Thankfully Vir is still cool.

I love G'Kar in this episode. He covers the whole range of emotions - and when he has to deliver his government's declaration of war...wow!

I'm one of those people who find stories of redemption just as fascinating as watching someone (like Londo) fall...and seeing Andreas portray that in G'Kar during the course of the series was a treat.

Now I'm watching All Alone In The Night. The best scene for me is when Delenn has to tell Lennier that she's been summoned before the grey council. Her statement, "Look at me, Lennier", is sooo sad.
